"Shae!" Iris screamed, running over to help her. She was rolling on the ground, trying to put out the flames.
When the flames were finally out, Iris put her arm around Shae's waist to help her towards the cave.
Iris tried her best to run to the cave as fast as she could, but Shae could barely walk and was practically being dragged to follow. They ran, the cave seeming so far away. and every time Shae fell or tripped, Iris was there to help her up again.
After struggling to get to the cave they finally made it. once inside, Iris let go of Shae and she collapsed to the ground, almost gasping for air. Iris slumped down against the cold rock of the cave wall. She glanced over at Shae, who was huddled in a ball beside her, shaking and moaning.
Iris couldn't see any wounds on Shae's body that were really noticeable, but her shirt was ripped at the bottom and torn at the sleeves. her pants looked okay except for the ripped knees and the fact that they now looked like long shorts.
She wasn't bleeding much, and as far as Iris could tell, there was nothing she could do to help, except to just let her sleep it off.
Iris gazed outside of the cave entrance, the hard rain pouring down, and the thunder booming and the lightening occasionally zapping the ground or crackling amongst the clouds.
She wondered if they'd see Captain Westfall again, and if he was safe, or if he was with Dovaa. Her mind swirling with questions, Her eyelids grew heavy and she drifted off to sleep.
