The first to wake up was George and was fully dressed in his royal attires when Dream finally returned from the dreamworld.

Getting out of the bed was horrible, but George had informed him that they were attending a meeting. As he put on the guard gear, he spotted how George polished every silvery jewelry intensely before putting them on. Even the crown got polished thoroughly.

"Never seen someone so excessively care for jewelry. I also thought that a servant would do such things, not the king himself." Dream commented lightheartedly.

George rolled his eyes while continuing to clean every last bit of the horrendous crown. "I'll have you known that it's often done by the king's personal guard." George bit back.

Dream had just fastened the last piece of armor. "You must've the worst guard in the kingdom then." He joked before putting on the mask.

"Oh definitely." George agreed with a sly smirk as he approached the door.

---------------------

The meeting was set to take place in the ginormous dining hall. Every form of person possessing power were ordered to partake. Dream was instructed to stand a few meters behind George and the brunette had specifically pointed out the importance of keeping his mouth shut.

Dream saw both Ethan and the queen take place by the table. Even Toby. The poor boy looked terrified by all the people.

Everyone were dressed in black and he established that the amount of silver was a hint of the person's rank. Most of the jewelry were delicate and simple, but George's brother Ethan must be more than just colorblind because he wore the most awful chain in human history. Big tacky links that held a round plate with a red stone in the middle. Probably petty of Dream to note but Ethan's polishing definitely lacked. On top of its hideousness, the chain appeared dull and dusty.

Chatter broke out and Dream realized that he'd zoned out and cursed himself for potentially missing important information. Multiply people were partaking in the discussing at once, making it difficult to pick up on a constant conversation.

" – rich on natural recourses."

"Ridicules the kingdom's powers."

"Action needs to be taken."

The heated discussion eventually faltered. Dream's gaze was once more drawn to Ethan who was whispering something to the queen. The sand-haired prince proceeded to rise and wait until everyone to quiet down. The calculated eyes wandered over the crowd.

Truth be told, but this guy was definitely more cut out to be king than George. At least over such a heartless nation.

"If the king allows, I'm willing to propose an offer on how to proceed. One that will have guaranteed success."

George had gone still as a statue, only sign of life were his fingertips that moved in a wave-like motion on the table. His eyes were glued on his brother, who clearly knew that George would be unable to decline.

"Permission granted." A low answer.

A barely visible smirk appeared on his brother's face. "Thank you, your majesty. Details will be spared. But as we all know, there's forcefield around the forest, protecting it from things that's deemed... unworthy of entry. Generation after generation has tried to break it without success." The icy eyes scanned the table as he paused. Most likely searching for defiance.

"– But from some further investigation, it's been concluded that the answer is much simpler than we made it out to be. The trick is to destroy it from its inside."
