A week had already passed and Lienne still hasn't heard anything from Karry, Roy or Jackson.Maybe they were relieved she was gone, after all.
Though, Lienne didn't have any space to feel depressed about it, since Jake had been trailing behind her ever since she met him on the train.
He was a bit like a lost puppy,
Cute, but terribly annoying
He was proving to be a bit of a heartthrob with the girls, since he always had his phone with him, texting God-knows-who.
She didn't mind since it reminded her of Roy's antics.
But one day, she was shopping in the daily market, Jake probably somewhere else, flirting with whoever he pleased.
Jason likes Fairy Cakes, she thought as she stared at the bright packaging, debating on whether she should buy it or not.
"L-Lienne?"
She spun around, thinking it would be Jake, "Jake, do you think I should buy Fairy Cakes or-"
She stopped when she saw a familiar fair-skinned boy with delicate features, "Roy." She breathed.
"Hi." He said softly, stuffing his hands in his pockets,
It was silence after a while, just Roy and Lienne staring at each other.
"What are you doing here?" They asked simultaneously,
Roy cleared his throat awkwardly, "You first."
She bit her lip nervously, "Just shopping... for Fairy Cakes."
He tried hard not to raise his eyebrow in amusement. "Oh really?"
"Yeah, not for me though." She said casually, as she put the package in her shopping basket.
His eyebrows crinkled in confusion, "Then for who?"
"For whom, Roy." She corrected,
He rolled his eyes, "Who uses 'whom'? Just answer my question."
"For a friend, okay? Now, what're you doing here?" She asked,
He shrugged, "Karry told me to buy dinner, so here I am."
"What were you planning on buying?"
"Y'know, cookies."
"For dinner?" She asked incredulously,
"Yep, no more questions."
"Okey-dokey, then." She said, veering away from Roy, "I should go now."
"Wait." He said, a bit of desperation showing in his voice, he grabbed onto Lienne's wrist softly, "What Karry said... he didn't mean it. We... we want you to come back, Lienne."
She frowned, even though she was daydreaming about them saying that to her, now that it's actually happening, she's a bit angry about it, "I don't think I can
dismiss something like that. Who tells people to get lost?"
"Karry does." Roy said simply, but when he saw that it didn't help, he quickly said, "Please, Lienne. You know we didn't mean it."
"Mean what?" A masculine, deep voice appeared, Roy and Lienne turned to the source of it.
"Jake." She said, almost with disbelief. His timing was terrible.
Poor Roy was confused; he was looking from Lienne to Jake to Jake to Lienne. "Who's this?"
"That's Jake. He's my fri-"
