chapter 20 - preparations

"we're here," Michael said, nudging Pacifica's shoulder. Their car was stopped outside an old shack close to lazy susan's diner.

Pacifica awoke and looked up to the sky seeing the red clouds slowly approaching. Her and her uncle rushed into the small shack and settled down, it was surprisingly nice, it had a living room and a relatively nice bedroom with a kitchen inside for some reason.

"we're gonna have to stay here for a bit, seems like a storm is coming" michael said sitting on the sofa and resting his feet on the coffee table next to it.

"yeah... a storm" pacifica responded with going to the bedroom and lying on the floor, her suspicions were true, bill was indeed back in action but this time dipper, mabel, stanford or stanley weren't there to save them.

Michael had fallen asleep on the sofa after half an hour. Just as pacifica was about to try and sleep there was a tap at the window, she looked up and saw gideon. pacifica went over to the window and opened it.

"gideon?! What are you doing here? How did you find me?" pacifica asked incredibly shocked.

"well, i guess you could say i had some help from a little tree" gideon responded with and moved out of the way revealing dipper.

pacifica blushed at the sight of him and accidentally fell out of the window throwing a piece of paper back through the window and the 3 of them ran off without another word.

an hour later gideon, dipper and pacifica finally made it to the mystery shack and slowed their pace.

"how did you guys find me" pacifica questioned.

"me and gideon set that house up a while ago thinking you'd be here with your uncle and that would be the best place for you 2 to stay temporarily due to what's happening" dipper said trying to act manly but you could see him trembling.

The 3 made it to the mystery shack at last and were greeted by soos in the golf car, he was on lookout, gideon and dipper rushed inside the shack to find ford leaving pacifica following slowly behind.

"so, what's the plan dipper?" gideon asked still running to find ford.

"well with the journals gone there isn't a lot we can do, i say we propose a trade to bill, he spares gravity falls and in return he gets a body to pilot, we just need to figure out who to use though" dipper responded clearly not thinking straight.

"are you insane pine tree! that would never work!" gideon exclaimed stopping dead in his tracks and started shaking dipper.

"no. Infact, that's the only way we can beat bill" ford said emerging from the basement "if we can get him into a false sense of security then on the 28th when the vortex rip will be powered we can hit him with everything we've got becuase he'll most likely use it here due to the power and energy gravity falls generates"

The 2 looked at him dead in the eye but didn't bother arguing because he seemed to be the smartest man in the world, everything he has ever said had worked so that was there only plan.

Hours had passed and once again, like in weirdmaggedon, the shack was protected but unfortunately they couldn't use the shackatron due to complications with fiddleford. everyone was arranged in a circle in the kitchen around the table.

"tomorrow is the day we confront bill, everyone be on your A-game" ford said in a very monotone voice, evryone else just nodded and proceeded to go to their sleeping quaters except for dipper and pacifica who went to the decking area outside the front of the shack.

Dipper and pacifica sat outside for what seemed like an eternity until dipper spoke.

"pacifica i need to ask you something" dipper said looking away and rubbing his arm.

pacifica blushed and said "o-oh yeah? what is it dips?" she immediately slapped herself internally for calling him that although he did laugh at the nickname.

"well, ever since the mansion incident I've seen a different side to you, i actually developed feelings for you and then poof I'm gone but then you're back and i don't know what to feel so I'll just outright ask you." Dipper said, taking a deep breath "Pacifica Northwest, will you go out with me?"

Dipper looked away yet again but before he knew it pacifica had wrapped her arms around him tightly, smiling bigger then mabel ever could

"yes! yes! yes! of course i will!" pacifica responded with releasing her grip to see dipper red as a tomato and smiling like hell.

"thanks paz" dipper said lightly hugging her again.

"no problem dips" pacifica responded returning the hug. They both went upstairs to sleep because Ford had put them both in the same room, they laid down (I'm saying this now so no one gets annoyed with me, SEPARATE beds) and both drifted off to sleep.
