It is officially the last day of 2019, these few days went by unbelievably quick. For Christmas me and Liz stayed in together, and like usual, it was perfect. I was now counting down the days until I finally ask her to be my wife.

"I like the black one the best." Ana points to the black satin dress.

I was currently struggling to find an outfit to wear for tonight, as Scarlett was throwing a New Years party. "This?" I ask, holding up the dress.

"Yup."

"Ana, your breaking up." I jokingly say.

She rolls her eyes, "I said yup!"

I couldn't stop laughing at her facial expressions and reaction. Trying to catch my breath, "I'm kidding."

"Bitch! If you werent halfway across the country-"

I smirk, "Oh shush, the black one it is."

"On a serious note, are you ready for the proposal?"

My mouth swiftly curls into a smile at the thought of it. "Yeah. Scarlett has been helping me out with it, and I'm going to do it next week."

"That's awesome, I'm so excited for you!"

My mind wandered to the thought of my proposal, of her accepting it. "Me too."

After a whole hour of stressing over how I look, I'm finally finished. I settled on the black dress, my hair curled, and as always, light makeup. "Oh my gosh." Ana gawks. "You look beautiful Y/n, I'd be suprised if Liz doesn't pass out once she sees you."

I shyly chuckle, "Thanks An, but I bet it'll be the other way around."

"You two are going to look absolutely amazing!"

After a few minutes of conversating with Ana, it was almost 7, meaning we'd have to get going soon. Once I'd hung up with her, I made my way over to the bathroom. Peeping my head in the doorway, I was frozen. Liz was wearing a mid-legth green dress with her hair back, I probably looked like an idiot staring at her. "You look..i-wow. I have no words."

She walks over to me, giving me a gentle kiss. "Thank you darling, I could say the same for you."

Fuck, she looks so beautiful. Her beauty never fails to amaze me.

I was a stuttering mess. "Tha-thanks."

She intertwines our fingers, "Shall we get going then?"

I gently nod, still speechless at how she looks.

Pulling up in front Scarlett's door, Liz quickly gets out and opens my door, helping me out with a gentle smile.

As soon as Liz rung the doorbell, the door immediately opened. "Y/n, oh my god!" Scarlett yells, engulfing me in a hug. "Come inside!"

As we walk in, I'm met by a bunch of familiar faces and the sound of faint music playing. "Y/n, I'm sure you remember Chris Evans." Scarlett reintroduces us.

Extending my hand,"I do."

Thankfully, this time I wasn't as awkward, and the handshake didn't last excessively long.

Scarlett then brings us over to more of her guests, "Guys this is Y/n, Lizzie's girlfriend."

They all turned their gaze over to me, and couldn't help but feel nervous even if I'd already met most of them.
