Only Time Will Tell

am i jealous?!

"Y/N COME ON!!" I hear my brother yelling from downstairs. "OK HOLD ON!!" I decide to yell back. Putting my hair into a bun, I eventually made my way down the stairs. Kevin had promised to make today just for us, since I had to leave tomorrow. "Took you long enough." he says. "Stop complaining." I roll my eyes and laugh.

We had agreed to go to the some Christmas tree shop since it was right around the corner. I hopped into the passengers seat of Kev's car and turned on some music, bopping my head. "You sure do love your music y/n" He says, which I completely agree on. "I sure do."

We made it to the shop, and I smiled at all of the Christmas themed items. I loved Christmas, the whole vibes of it made me more than happy. "Come on!" I said while running towards the trees like a little kid.

"So, how are you and Kara?" He asks me, the question clearly taking me off guard. "We're great!" I'm lying through my teeth. "Y/n, I work with actors and you.. you are a terrible one." "How rude of you!" I say, bumping him in the arm. He laughs, "but seriously, how are you two? I've noticed you were a bit off lately."

"Kevin, I'm gonna be quite honest with you.. we're going through a rough patch. She seems to not trust me for whatever reason and always questions where I've been whenever I come home from work. We've just been arguing like crazy.. It's part of the reason I flew out here, to get a break from it. " I end up explaining and opening up to him.

"Y/n I'm so sorry, I had no idea." He brings me into a hug and I accept it, slightly crying into his chest. "Alright now, no waterworks at Christmas okay?" His comment makes me snicker. "Fine then!" We finally picked out a tree and went inside to buy it.

I just stood by the checkout desk and watched as Kevin did the purchase. "but baby, this one matches the color better!" I hear a voice coming from behind me I knew too well. I turned around so fast I'm suprised my neck didn't break. It was her, Lizzie. She was laughing and kissing a man. He was fairly tall with a beard and long hair. I don't know why but seeing it made me feel sick.

"Y/n?" Kevin calls me, breaking me out of my stare. "Yeah?" I softly ask, before I hear my name being called yet another time. "Y/n?!" Lizzie noticed me, and she was now making her way closer with this man.

"Lizzie?" I asked, trying to act as shocked as possible. "Y/n, what a coincidence!" Yeah.. I agreed, putting on a smile. "Robbie, this is my friend y/n and her brother, Kevin feige, he works with marvel. Y/n, this is Robbie my boyfriend." she introduces all of us. I don't know why but I felt bummed that she was dating a someone, and a man at that. Nice to meet you, I offer my hand.

We all just talked a bit before Lizzie had to leave. "Y/n are you alright?" My brother asks me. "Yeah, just all this pine and spice smell makes me sick." "Let's get out of here then." We strap the tree onto the car and head to get some food, I was pretty quiet the whole time, as the moment of me seeing Lizzie and Robbie kept replaying in my mind. Kevin noticed, but didn't say anything as I didn't feel like talking.

After ordering some food and bringing the tree inside, I showered, put my pj's on and went downstairs for the movie Kevin picked out and for some reason, I decided to text Lizzie while I waited.

hey! what are you up to?

nothing, just about to watch a movie with Kevin, how about you?

that's cool, im just sitting with Robbie.

so sorry lizzie but kevin has the movie on now, goodnight xx

I sighed and put my phone down. So, what movie are we watching? I eagerly asked Kevin. "The Nightmare Before Christmas." You remembered? I asked him. Me and Kevin had this tradition ever since we were kids, we'd watch the nightmare before christmas whenever we had a chance or whenever I came back from New York to visit, vise versa. "You thought I wouldn't?" Shut up, I chuckled.
