"What about this one?" Liz asks, pointing to the tall Christmas tree.

It is now the beginning of December, and I couldn't be happier. I absolutely love Christmas. The vibes, decorations, and the fact that I get to spend it with my girlfriend makes it even better. Liz insisted on getting a real tree, and I happily agreed since I knew she loved them because of last year. It's hard to believe we were in the same shop over a year ago.

"I love it, are you sure it's the one?"

She smiles widely, scrunching her nose in the process. "Positive, I can see it right in the middle of the living room with a bunch of presents, decorations, and lights to go all around it."

All I did was admire how enthusiastic she was about this, my jaws starting to hurt from smiling so much. "So can I. I'll go get some help to put it on the car."

After getting home, we definitely struggled to get it inside, but eventually made it work.

-

"I found them!" I say, handing the box of ornaments to Liz.

"Thank you, these ones are beautiful."

We'd been decorating the tree for over two hours now. Liz picked a huge one, so it took extra time. The whole time I watched her, I couldn't help but imagine us doing this with a family. So lost in a trance, I hadn't even realized she was trying to say something, completely ignoring it. "Y/n?"

"Oh-i-yeah?"

"I said I have an idea."

I chuckle nervously, "What is it?"

"We should bake something, and then have a whole night of watching Christmas movies and eating."

A bright smile appears on my face, "Let's do it."

We both happily prepared the ingredients for the pie Liz and I decided on.

"Okay, we just need frozen cranberries." Liz says while reading her cookbook.

I excitedly hand her the cranberries, letting her do the measurements. Like always, I decide to put on our usual playlist, causing her to start humming to the music.

She was so beautiful. I admired her from afar as she danced along to the music, perfecting the pie before putting it in the oven. She was so effortlessly beautiful, it's insane.

After putting it in to cook, she turns her attention back over to me. "Now for the cookies!" She joyously exclaims.

-

After adding all of the ingredients to the bowl, we sat the mixture in the freezer for about 30 minutes before taking it out to decorate.

"I hate mine." I complain, staring at the cookie I'd attempted to decorate.

Liz takes a peek to see, raising both her eyebrows. "It isn't that bad."

I tried to make a gingerbread cookie, but clearly I wasn't very artistic looking at the uneven buttons and white icing. "Yours looks much better." I praise her amazing candy cane and christmas tree cookies.

She plants a gentle kiss on my forehead, "Thank you darling."

Within our little decorating contest, a certain song starts to play, causing Liz to take my hand. "I love this song! Come on Y/n!"

She immediately starts dancing, twirling me around a few times.

"I don't want a lot for Christmas
There is just one thing I need
I don't care about the presents underneath the Christmas tree"

I just went along with whatever she did, not being much of a great dancer.

"I just want you for my own
More than you could ever know
Make my wish come true
All I want for Christmas is you"

The whole moment was absolutely perfect, we had both hands on eachothers shoulders, dancing without a care in the world. Unfortunately, we were interuppted by the loud beeping of the oven. She chuckles, "I'll get it."

~

"Alright, you'll be my taste tester." Liz says while bringing me a plate of the cranberry pie.

As I took a bite, like always, her baking was incredible. She seriously had a talent for it. "This is undoubtedly the best pie I've ever had."

She starts clapping her hands in the most adorable way. "I'm so glad you like it!" The smile on my face never leaving as I watched her reaction.

The rest of the day mainly consumed of us watching multiple Christmas movies, but Liz fell asleep around the third one. Admiring her soft features, I wanted more than for her to be my wife.

——

The next few days flew by like crazy because it's now Christmas eve. I was completely panicking, today was the first time I'd get to meet Liz's other siblings. My overthinking wasn't much help either, my mind only clouded by the ways I could embarrass myself.

"Baby, just relax. They're going to love you, just like everyone else. All you need to do is be your wonderful, loving self." Liz assures me, clearly noticing how tense I was.

I chuckle nervously, "And if they dont?"

"They will." Liz takes my hand, "Now let's go!"

I squeezed her hand tighter as we walked to the door, breathing out slowly to try and calm my nerves. As soon as I hear footsteps, I immediately tensed back up. Liz rubs her hand on my back, "Just relax."

Once the door opens, I was relieved to see a friendly face."Y/n!" Mk exclaims. "I'm so glad you two could make it, come on inside!"

Walking in, I wasn't unfamiliar with the house since it was Mk's. I could hear a bit of commotion coming from the living room, making my anxiety rise even more.

"Guys! Lizzie and her Y/n are here!" Mk hollered.

I see Jarnette come out, engulfing Liz in a tight hug. "Lizzie, I'm so glad you could make it honey!"

Liz beams a smile, "I wouldn't miss out on the opportunity for everyone to meet Y/n."

Before anyone else could respond, I see Ashley and three other people heading towards us. Liz quickly runs and hugs them all before they turned their attention over to me. "Let me guess, your the girl making Liz so happy? I'm Jake, nice to meet you." He says, extending his hand.

Happily shaking it, "It's nice to meet you too. I'd hope so." I reply, making everyone chuckle.

"These are Trent and Courtney." Mk introduces us as I shake both their hands. "I've heard a lot about you!" Courtney says.

"All good things I hope."

"Oh, of course!"

I was more than happy to see that her siblings seemed to like me. I often found myself daydreaming about us having our own family like this one day, the thought of it making my heart flutter.

The day went by so abruptly, it was amazing to get to know the rest of her siblings. After eating, we all sat down by the fireplace and talked about random things. Like the rest of her family, they were all extremely welcoming. I never wanted this moment to end.
