Chapter Thirty-seven~ Eternal Hell

"Was that your Husband?" Finan said as they walked through the hallways of the castle.

"Unfortunately." Rhaella replied, nodding her head to her Mothers Brother. "Uncle." She muttered.

"Princess!" He smiled. "I feel the need, as second in command of the watch, that I must assure you we are doing all in our power to find these barbarians."

Rhaella felt the need to laugh in his face. Her uncle was a bitch. Always trying to please his father, and gain favor over his sister. Which would never happen because she had married a king and then birthed a son who she would crown, which would forever giver her a more powerful status over him.

It proved to Rhaella that the red keep was descending into chaos. A boatman had founded both of the criminals before the so called city watch had even hooked their cloaks to their armor.

"Second in command ye say?" Finan smirked. "Then Gods tell me why it is yer here prancing about the castle with yer fancy woman, instead of looking for men guilty of treason?"

Gwayne's face fell. "And who in the seven hells are you?"

Finan went to answer but Rhaella held her hand up to stop him. "Nobody of your concern Uncle." Rhaella glared. "Although I believe he does have a point."

Finan held out his arm signaling that Gwayne could leave now. "You're supposed to be keeping a low profile." Rhaella sighed, continuing on their path.

"He was asking for it." Finan shrugged. "Is everyone in this place related?"

"More or less." Rhaella replied. "Where did you find him?"

Finan knew who she was speaking about. "He wasn't as easy to track down, but when blood told us about him being a Rat catcher It was just a case of asking around town." He told her, pulling down on the torch which revealed the hidden path to hell. "He's a slimey fucker too, tried to spring an attack on me in the dark."

When they arrived in the room, Rhaella saw him. He was looking around the room his face blank of emotion, but his eyes told a different story. He seemed to grimace especially at the iron cage in the corner of the room, it hung over a fire pit, which was historically lit so that the cages victim could feel the heat sent from the fiery pits of hell, burning away at their skin.

"You don't seem to like the look of that." Rhaella said, drawing his attention to her. "I've seen the look in your eye in many others, you've a trauma bond with cages haven't you?" She smiled lifting her hand to ouch on the metal cage that hung in the air.
"Is that why you took the job here as a rat catcher?" She took a step closer to him. Finan had already taken the job of tying the man's hands behind his back. "So that you could trap Rats in cages, so you could feel a power over them, lock them in cages like you used to be?" When his head snapped to her, she knew she was right.

"What are you, a witch?" The man said, his voice was low.

"I'm your death." She told him. "But tell me more, how did they get you into the cages?" She laughed. "Were you a little boy chasing after sweeties?" She could see the memories playing around in his head. "Or did they forced you in there when you were bad?" She sighed when he didn't answer. "At least tell me how you got the rats to go into those little contraptions you set?"
Blood began to stir awake, his head lifting and noticing he was still trapped in the nightmare that was Rhaella Targaryen, he began to yell against the cloth in his mouth. "Shut him up." She said to Finan.
