It had not been a dream.

When she saw Aemond, her heart sank. His left eye was cut badly, a maester stitching the skin.

She went to rush to his side but Aegon put a hand out to keep her in place.

"How could you allow such a thing to happen?!" Her Father, the king questioned. "I will have answers!"

Rhaella, then met the eyes of her nephew Jacaerys. He watched intently as the maester threaded Aemonds skin together.

Her stomach bubbled in fury, She knew now, her dream had been no dream at all.
Lucerys clung to his brother, he met the angry eyes of Rhaella before he cowered behind Jace.

She thought of all the ways she could have him screaming in pain just as he had done to Aemond.

But not here.

It was not the right time.

"The Princes were supposed to be abed my king." The commander answered.

Viserys rose from his seat, his stick assisting him down the small flight of stairs. "You swore oaths to protect and defend my blood!" He shouted but Rhaella was to busy trying to hear what her mother was saying.

"It will heal, will it not, Maester?" The queen sounded panicked, she held onto Aemonds hand.

Rhaella knew the question to be stupid, she'd read enough books on healing to know, just by the sight of it, that Aemonds eye was gone.

"The flesh will heal." The healer said much more calm than Rhaella cared for. "But the eye is lost your grace." Alicent gasped and as she stood up, questioning Aegon, "Where were you?" Rhaella went Aemonds side.

"Me?" Aegon replied confused as to why the blame crept its way onto his own head. Rhaella heard her mothers hand against Aegons cheek. "Ow! What was that for?" He said holding onto his cheek.

"That is nothing, compared to the abuse your brother suffered, While you were drowning in your cups, You fool!" She seethed.

The sound of Lord Corlys filled the hall. "What is the meaning of this?"

It was followed by the calling of the princess Rhaynera, looking for her sons. "Who did this?!"

Rhaella was furious, how dare she wander in here after being summoned a half hour ago, questioning why her son had nothing but a bloody nose while Aemond sat here, eye stolen. "They attacked him!" She shouted in the same moment Aemond did.

A course of accusations flew around the room.

The king putting a stop to it. "Silence!" His voice boomed. "Aemond, I will have the truth of what happened, Now."

Rhaella looked from her father to Aemond, squeezing his hand encouraging him to go on.

"What else is there to hear?!" The queen scoffed. "Your son has been maimed, her son his responsible."

Rhaynera shook her head. "It was a regrettable accident!"

"Accident? The prince Lucerys brought a blade to the ambush." Alicent stared at Rhaynera. "He meant to kill my son."

Rhaynera held onto her sons. "It was my sons who were attacked, and forced to defend themselves." She shouted. "Vile insults were levied against them."

This caught the attention of the king. "What insults?"
