Chapter Sixty~ Silence

⋅•⋅☾∘⋅•⋅

Rhaella was walking back from the courtyard, Aemond had left to the dragonpit on the rising of the sun.

"Rhaella!" Clarissa shouted when she saw the princess. "Rhaella!"

Rhaella turned to see Tarbeck running toward her, worry washed over her face. "What is it?" Rhaella said to her. "Is it Daeron, did they find him?"

Clarissa shook her head. "No, no, I found Finan and on our way back he insisted we stop for a drink, so that he could show me all of the perks of being a commoner and not a lady." She told the princess. "And there we overheard two guards, goldcloaks, arguing about the Prince Daemon."

"Who?!" Rhaella exclaimed. "Who was arguing, tell me you know their names." Rhaella said. worry setting deep in her bones.

"It was Ser Luthor Largent." Clarissa muttered.

Rhaella knew now what was happening. The city had been left mostly defenceless. Criston Cole was marching an army north toward Harrenhall, majority of the kings army marching behind. Aemond had flew Vhagar ahead of them. Dreamfyre was useless without Helaena, and Aegon was bedridden, sunfyre lost somewhere in the free fields.

All that remained were one hundred men at arms, four young Dragons and representing members from each house loyal to the Greens.

And Rhaella and vermithor.

"Where is Finan?" Rhaella questioned setting off toward the nursery.

"He is looking for you, we thought it best to split up." Clarissa replied, following after her. "Rhaella what is happening?"

Then came a loud screech, from somewhere in the sky. The clouds went dark, and the rain fell. Wind blew around in the air, carrying a warning of what was hiding in the clouds.

She could see the shadows, circling the air like the castle was it's prey.

And she knew then, somewhere, despite all her efforts.

She had made a mistake.

"We're under siege." Rhaella said, voice barely above a whisper.

Clarissa looked out the window, at the storm that was brewing. "What should I do Rhaella?" She questioned. "Tell me what I should do."

Rhaella took a breath, com posing herself. How had she not see. this coming?

"Go to the nursery, I want ALL of the children taken to the harbour use the gold I have hidden beneath Aegor's cradle to bribe your way onto a ship." She instructed. "I will find Finan and tell them you are waiting for him."

"And where should we go?" Clarissa questioned.

"The free cities." It was all she could think off, there was no time to thing of a proper plan like she had lat time. "Take them, if anybody asks, you are Prince Aemonds mistress and they are your bastards." It was a ridiculous Idea, but she was being put on the spot.

Clarissa nodded before she left.

Her first objective was to tell the nearest Guard to alert the kings council. "Tell my mother, and my Grandfather." She commanded. "Tell them Rhaynera is here." She said before turning and heading for Aegon.

"It's not pronounced like that Vaegon." Elaena sighed, reading. from her Valyrian book. "Viserys tell him."
