"Divorce?" Ulit ko sa sinabi nito, biglang sumakit ang puso ko. Kailangan ko na yatang magpa check up.
She nodded.
"I only heard the word divorce," Sumilip siya sa dalawang taong may sariling mundo. "But it looked like Vera was going to rip that man's throat apart. I legit felt goosebumps."
Hindi ko napansin ang huli niyang sinabi because I was too focused on the word divorce.
Vera wants divorce? Divorce namin o ng ex boyfriend niya at ng asawa nito? Do they plan on getting married?
"What are you thinking?" Malamang ay halata sa aking mukha ang pagkalito.
"I don't even know."
"Does he know you?" She asks.
"I'm not sure. All he knows is that Vera is married."
"Do you plan on confronting Vera?" We silently walked towards Hera and France na abala pa din sa pamimili.
"I can't." Maigsing sagot ko sakanya. I want to but I'm just a little too coward to do so.
Nang makalapit kami kina Hera at France ay siya namang pag alis ng dalawang mag asawa. They walked out hand in hand, casually talking with each other. Sa unang tingin mo ay akala mo'y walang ginagawang kagaguhan ang lalaking iyon dahil sa mga pinapakita niya sa kanyang asawa. But oh well, actions can be deceiving sometimes.
Hera handed me the layout of my mask. Akala ko ba'y pumipili kami ng plain masks for customization? Naglibot libot pa kami ni Aubrey eh layout lang naman pala ng design ang gagawin namin.
I sighed.
"Well, this looks good."
Oops! Ang larawang ito ay hindi sumusunod sa aming mga alituntunin sa nilalaman. Upang magpatuloy sa pag-publish, subukan itong alisin o mag-upload ng bago.
"I like this one, I'll take it." Sabi ko tas binalik kay Hera yung layout. Sabi nila it would take a day or two for it to be finished at ico-contact nalang kami.
So we said our thanks at umalis na. Humiwalay ang mag fiancé dahil may dadaanan daw ang mga ito kaya it's just me and Aubrey now. We were silently walking at minsan ay lumilinga ako wishing I could find something for Vera.
"There's something I've been meaning to ask you." Basag ni Aubrey sa katahimikan ko. Lumingon naman ako sakanya. "So, you told me Vera doesn't feel the same way you did, right?"
Tumango ako as painful as it sounds but yeah.
"In the span of your marriage, have you tried winning her heart?"
Natigil ako sa tanong niya. Now that she have mentioned it, my mind traveled back to the days of our marriage.
Have I?
"Sa reaksyon mong yan, I'm assuming you never did anything to win her." Natawa siya. "You're hurt because she doesn't love you back but you can't even do something for her to even like you." May sarcasm sa kanyang tono.
