Chapter XX

Vera's POV:

We were silently waiting for Alison, Aubrey, Mila and Selene when someone came towards us. Out of curiousity, I gave her my attention. Medyo nasindak pa nga ito sa paraan ng pagkakatitig ko dahil napaatras ito ng bahagya. Ito namang katabi ko ay agad na napatayo.

"Honey!" Gulat na bulalas niya at kita sa mukha nito ang saya. Agad na umahon ang galit sa dibdib ko nang marinig sakanya iyon. She excused herself at agad na lumapit sa babae at niyakap ito. "What are you doing here?"

I looked at the girl. Maliit ito, maybe 5'2? Naputi and have a short haired na bumagay sa mukha nito. She's kinda chubby but she's beautiful. Umirap ako.

"Uh, bumisita lang ako kay nanay." And her voice, ugh! Sobrang soft and I don't like the sound of it. Sumilip ito sa akin dahil nahaharangan siya ni Andrei. "Hello po." She smiles and wave. Pilit lang akong ngumiti dito but I really wanted to throw her away as of this moment.

"Tinawagan mo na sana ako para nasundo kita." Ang cheerful naman ng babaeng ito sa pakikipag usap, nakakairita tulot.

"Hey, did you wait long?" Buti at dumating na si Alison kaya naman ay tumayo na ako at hinili ito paalis. I didn't bother saying goodbye to then dahil konting konti nalang ay parang sasabog na ako.

"Teka lang. What happened?" Takang tanong ng kasama ko at binawi ang kamay nitong kanina'y hila hila ko.

"Nothing." I said and continued walking.

"Sino yung kasama ni Andrei?" I rolled my eyes at her. "Kalma, bakit ba?"

"Hindi ko alam and please stop asking me questions."

"You're too worked up today."

Hindi ko na ito pinansin pa at patuloy na naglalakad. All I want right now is to tear off someone's hair dahil sobra akong binabalot ng inis.

Honey, huh?

What a corny nickname.

Nang makarating ako sa faculty ay sinubsob ko ang sarili ko sa trabaho. I didn't want to be bothered kaya naman ay nilock ko ang pinto and put a 'do not disturb' sign outside. I turned off my phone to keep me from distraction.

Hours have passed at oras na ng klase ko, but I decided to not meet them today. Bahala silang mag hintay sa classroom ng wala.

A knock from my door startled me. I asked who it was.

"Aubrey, ma'am."

Great! That one girl I hate to see Andrei with because of the rumors spreading of them dating each other. What a day.

Tumayo ako at binuksan ang pintuan. We're nearly of the same height kaya pantay ang aming mga mata. We stared at each other, waiting for someone to talk. She was the first one who looked away. Napangisi ako.

"What is it?" Tanong ko at pinapasok ko siya sa office. Ngayon ko lang napansin ang dala dala nitong paper bag.

"Well, gusto ko sanang ipabigay ito kay Alison. She wasn't on her desk when I came in."

Inabot niya yung paper bag sakin at tinanggap ko naman ito at nilapag sa table ko.

"Yun lang ba?" I asked.

She stared at me for a sec and then smiled.

"I know you think we're dating but we're not."

"Who?"

"Andrei."

"Can you stop calling her that?" Asik ko dito saka umupo sa sofa and crossed my legs. "And I couldn't care less who she's dating."
