"Can you at least cry, Vera? I know you're hurting." Alison looked at Vera intensely. She knows her friend is in pain. Ito ang unang beses niyang makita itong ganito, babad sa trabaho like she's punishing herself.

Yes, Vera is quiet the workaholic between them but she was never like this. Imagine, graduation was a couple of weeks ago and there were still no memo for them but here she is, nagkukulong at inaabuso ang sarili. She knows her friend too much that she could see her suffering within but the thing is, she wanted her to let that emotion go.

Vera didn't bother to respond nor give attention to her bestfriend who has been all over her since that incident happened. Her hand turned into a fist, unconsciously as she felt that familiar squeeze in her stomach.

"Vera." Tawag pansin ulit sakanya ng kanyang kaibigan, she sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose.

"What is it?" That sounded a bit bitchy but she didn't care. Wala ito sa mood para makipag usap, she didn't want to be rude but she badly needed to be alone at this moment. "Please leave me alo—"

"I won't." Alison was firm, "You've been saying that since that day."

Vera rolled her eyes. "Shut up." She didn't want to remember anything about what happened, she's been trying her best to ignore and forget. "If it's about that, I'm fine. Just leave me alone." She pleaded, her eyes shut in annoyance.

"Kailan mo haharapin ang problemang to, Vera?" Alison insisted, "If you want her, get her." She added which made Vera's eyes opened as she stares at Alison's.

"I'm asking you one last time, Aly." She warned and Alison knows she's nearing her limit. "Leave me the fuck alo—"

Once again her sentence was cut off when someone barged in the room, unannounced. It was Hestia with a smile on her beautiful face. Vera squinted.

"Hey, bitches." "So, I have news." She beamed, her eyes landed on Vera's. She winked.

"You're awfully cheerful today. It's not you." Pansin ni Vera. Hestia has this glow around her and she only noticed that when that Cloud made an appearance on Andrei's graduation. Ever since, she was being happy. Malayong malayo sa Hestia na nakilala nito.

I guess true love do change you for the better. Vera thought.

"Ano ba yon?" Tanong ni Alison.

"It's about Andrei."

"She recently purchased a property in Australia." Vera opened it out of curiosity. It is a copy of the documents of the island she bought. "Well, thankfully, kakilala ko yung real estate agent kung saan nagpatulong ang aking magaling na kapatid." She pointed at the documents and chuckled. "And there, inutusan ko siyang ibigay sa akin iyan."

"My husband and I are planning to go on a vacation in Melbourne. Wanna come?"

"We have plans for the week, eh." Alison politely declined the offer. Gustuhin niya man ay may nauna na itong appointment and she doesn't want to cancel that.

"Okay. Ikaw Vera?"

She might be thinking but Hestia wants to know her answer right now.
