Alex was jostled awake by the movement of what felt like a bus moving. Alex groaned as she looked around, she strongly believed she was hallucinating at the moment. There was no way a giant banana could be alive.
She looked out the window to see that she was thousands of feet off the ground. The bus was fucking flying. She watched as people started to jump out the back of the bus and make their descent downwards.
Looking closer at the people she realized they were animated, and they were animated in a very familiar fashion. She groaned as she realized where she was. She was on the battle bus and that just so happens to be a part of the one and only video game Fortnight.
Alex thanked Cassie for her love of video games, She was happy that Cassie had insisted on playing video games whenever she babysat her. Suddenly she was ejected from the bus and started falling through the air.
Her feet dragged against the ground as she landed on a roof of a tall building, the parachute faded behind her as she gained her balance.
Guess she was playing fortnight now. Naturally she tried to reach for the gun on her hip only to find that it wouldn't move. Guess it was apart of her avatar.
She looked around the roof before she found a pile of glowing ammo, walking up to it she waved her hand through the pile only to have it disappear.
"That counts as going into my inventory? Right?" She questioned aloud as she started to walk once again. She opened the first door she saw and went through it, thankfully there was an assault rifle laying on the ground with matching ammo. She repeated the motion of running her hand through the gray glow and watched it disappear.
Only now she needed a way to access it, she patted the pockets of her avatar and dug around in it. First, she pulled out a comically large pickaxe before she pulled out the assault rifle, luckily it was already loaded and ready to fire. Adjusting her grip on the rifle she made her way down the stairs occasionally picking up things and opening chests.
Once on the ground floor, she was suddenly aware of someone behind her, Alex raised the gun up and looked around. It wasn't long before another avatar entered the room, Alex raised the gun and fired until the person dropped down and faded away. Alex rummaged through the things the person dropped, she got some wood, and a shotgun
Walking out the door she found a few cars, she chose the bright yellow sports car, she slid into the driver's seat and started the car with a satisfying rev. She pulled out of the building lot and started down the long path.

She was doing donuts in an empty field when she heard the sounds of bullets piercing the side of the car, turning the car to the area where the bullets came from. She gunned the engine and once she found the source she aimed straight for the avatar. She watched as the body flew back and disappeared.

Alex held up the small jar of blue liquid in her hands, "This counts as steroids right?" She asked aloud as she took a swig of it. Alex shook her hands as she felt a wave of strength pour over her.
"I'm taking 50 of these," Alex chuckled as she slipped one into her pocket.

"You motherfucker!" Alex exclaimed as she fired the shotgun into another avatar as she ducked back down around the building. She switched back into the assault rifle as she turned back around the corner and started firing off again.
Alex's attention was drawn behind her as another round of fire came from behind her. She groaned as she turned around and fired the opposite way. Alex turned back around and fired at the first avatar's fort to keep it back.
Once she turned back around she was met with shotgun bullets into the chest. She felt as her body faded away as all her loot fell around her.
Looking over the games final stats she smirked with pride. Not bad, not bad at all.
A/n
Back in the last book in the chapter 'The start of the end' I had a line that said 'Hello there' and said if anyone made a Star Wars reference I was gonna make Alex apart of fortnight.
