What do you mean missing?

Miles Third person POV

Miles Morales was almost ready to head to school on a Tuesday morning. He had even gotten up early so he could have breakfast at home instead of on his way to school as he usually did.

And so far he was having a pretty good morning. Until his Dad had asked to talk to him.

Naturally he started to think of the things he had done in the past 24 hours. Though nothing would have fully prepared him for the question his Dad would ask.

"Miles, your friend Alex, Is this her?" His dad asked showing him a picture of Alex that he had pulled up on his phone. The photo was one from the yearbook from the previous year.

"What? Yeah thats her" Miles answered confused.

"Was she at school yesterday?" He persisted.

"No, we thought she was home sick, why though? Is she alright?" Miles asked again.

"Miles there really isn't an easy way for me to tell you this and I wanted to tell you before you heard it somewhere else. But Alex is missing"

Missing?

How could Alex be missing?

It was Alex, she didn't go missing

But then he rembered the fact she was at that Avengers party that had been attacked.

Did she go missing then?

But how? Alex was Venom! And defintly one of the stronger people Miles knew.

"How?" Miles asked stunned.

"We don't fully know the details but the Avengers sent out a APB for her. So for them to send out something everyone at the station has been a little on edge" The man told his son.

"And you're gonna find her, right?" Miles asked.

"Were gonna try"

-at the school-

"You guys are never going to believe what my dad said this morning" Miles rushed up to the group.

"And you're not gonna believe what happened" Peter added in. Peter had been waiting for Miles to join the group to tell what them what the Avengers said.

"You go first," Miles pointed at Peter.

"Alex is missing, like full on gone. The Avengers found no trace of her and they checked heat signatures, weird energy spots, nothing. She just full on disappeared" Peter told the group.

"No one can fully dappear" MJ insisted.

"But Alex did"

"My dad said the Avengers put out an APB for her, I think she has a full on missing persons case going on" Miles also told the group.

"What can we do?"

"The team said not much, I already have Wade and Matt looking into what they can find, and the Avengers are using all they have so not much"

"How did she go missing?" MJ persisted in wanting to know how her girlfriend went missing.

"You know that magic man?"

"Yes" Miles nodded.

"Kinda" Ned also nodded.

"Yeah" MJ also, also nodded.

"He shot Alex with a spell and it caused her to disappear," Peter informed them.

"So how do we find her if the causes magic?" Ned asked.

"We don't know yet, their still trying to figure out what spell she was shot with" 

"Stupid magic" MJ complained.

Harry suddenly walked over to the group, "What's with the hate for magic?" he smiled, "And is Alex here today I still need to say hi"

The others looked between themselves for a moment before Peter spoke up, "Harry, Alex is missing"

"What do you mean missing?!" Harry shouted.

"She is missing, like gone, poof, we don't know where she is"

"Have you filed a missing persons report yet?" Harry asked.

"We have practically everyone looking for her"

"Really?" Harry asked.

"Really" Ned insisted.

That was true. The Avengers we're on the constant hunt for the girl. The vigilantes were also on the nightly hunt for the girl, even asking other vigilantes to be on the lookout for her. Police were also good to keep an eye out.

People had noticed Alex was gone.

But will they find her?
