Alex unlocked Matt's door and pushed it open with her hip as she held the grocery bags in her hands, "I'm homeeee!" Her voice rang through the apartment as she closed the door and slipped off her shoes and walked inside.

As she walked inside she was surprised that the lights were actually on, normally Matt always had them off– and there are people in his living room.

Alex groaned as she set the bags down at her side, "This is the third fucking time!" She cried out, "At least I have a key! And yes it was willingly given! Who the hell are you fuckers!?" She asked as she cocked her hip and set her hands on her hips as she looked over the group.

There was a woman with black hair, dark leather jacket, black jeans, and a gray scarf around her neck. A man with dark skin, large hoodie, and some track pants. Another man with a hoodie half zipped up and a pair of dark jeans.

"Who are we? Who the fuck are you!" The woman fired back as she looked over Alex and her grocery bags, "How the hell did you even get in?"

"My key" Alex waved it around before slipping it back into her pocket. As Alex studied the group more her posture shifted as she recognized them,"Holy shit! You're the defenders! Matt's other friends!" She pointed as he looked at them.

"And you are?" The man with the large hoodie asked, Alex recognized him as Luke Cage.

"I'm Alex, where's Matt? He said he would be here" Alex said, looking around for him.

"He's running late" The woman, Jessica Jones said as she crossed her arms.

"What a dick, I bring him groceries and he's running late" Alex huffed with an eye roll.

"You bring him groceries?" Danny (the third guy in the room) asked with a confused tilt of his head.

"Yeah, don't know if you've noticed but he has this thing where he can't see well, it's called being blind" Alex nodded sarcastically.

"And how does Matt know you?" Luke asked, trying to shift the conversation back to how this girl knows Matt.

"Oh he's actually my dad, it was like a huge affair with my mom. He only recently got custody of me due to my mom being arrested for selling drugs on the streets." Alex waved off, "When will he be back?" Alex asked nonchalantly.

Practically on cue Matt's door swung open followed by him walking through as he folded up his cane, "Sorry I'm late, had a few more cases to file away before I left" He smiled.

"Dad! Good to see you" Alex greeted as she turned to Matt, "Now, why do I keep meeting all your friends after I bring you groceries. It's not fair, you've met all my friends" Alex said as she walked up to Matt with her hands on her hips.

"Because your friend group has basically stayed the same for years" Matt chuckled lightly.

"Matt, you have a kid?" Jessica asked confused as she looked between Matt and Alex, "I mean I know you're a whore but I honestly expected better from you"

"You gotta stop telling people that story" Matt sighed as he shook his head and turned towards his other friends, "No Alex isn't my kid, she just likes to be the start of problems"

"And the end of the problems" Alex said as she pointed around the room, "I mean that with murder and positive words"

Jessica looked at Alex puzzled before pulling a flask out of her jacket and taking a very long drink and shaking her head before she slumped back onto Matt's couch.

Luke, being the only one on track stepped forward, "Look Matt, we need your help with a certain…issue" He said as he looked between Matt and Alex.

Matt got the hint, "She knows, don't worry. But if you make it worth my while I may be able to help" Matt turned to Alex again, "It might be best for you to go about your day, I have a feeling you won't stick around for long after we start talking"

"Oh I get it, throw me out of the house like some common whore with the sheets over her chest" Alex rolled her eyes with a smirk as she made her way over to the door and started to slip on her shoes.

Matt sighed at Alex's common display of dramatics, "And thank you for the groceries"

Alex waved her hand dismissively at him, "Next time I find random people in your house I'm eating them" She said as she tugged on the last bit of her shoe and opened the door to leave, "By Matt! Love ya'!" She called as she exited the apartment with a shut of the door.

"She must be a headache to be around" Jessica muttered as she pulled out a file from her bag and handed it over to Matt.

Matt grabbed the file and ran his fingers over the brail, "Be nice" he said as he felt the words under his fingers.

Jessica rolled her eyes as she watched Matt run over the file. "So, you in?" Luke asked, stepping forward.

"I'll get my suit" Matt nodded strictly as he moved off into his closet.
