Domestic violence, abused, scars, whipping, blood
You had someone you like.
He was tall, handsome, and righteous. You liked how diligent he was as the Captain in the Favonious Knight. Also the fact that he wore his own customary outfit for it was a plus.
There was one problem in between you. It being your age.
Between you and him, there was a five years gap. You looked up to him as a love interest, while he looked down at you as a younger sister. Probably because you were around the same age as Barbara, so he treated you similarly to her.
Unlike Barbara, it was hard for you to see him thanks to your father.
As a descendant of the Lawrence family, you had a long-history aristocratic bloodline that you must enrich within your blood. From its tradition, to their idealistic and ideology of the Lawrence ancestors.
Your father, especially, never giving up even though the family was already reaching rock bottom. He saw you as a indispensable, last hope for the family he could 'straighten' and make a perfect Lawrence.
So, you only could watch him from the window of your room, or sometimes when you attend the church work, the only thing outside of Lawrence house you could go out to.
You did not have much friends, maybe no one at all. In fact, they did not want to befriend you.
"Mom said to not be friends with you. You tried to destroy the city once !"
At some point, you felt like it was a bad idea to actually go out of your home, until he saw you one day.
"Don't listen to them. You did nothing wrong."
Just like a knight in shiny armor, he saved your life that day.
From then on, you did not fear the words of the people anymore. Barbara befriended you because you knew Diluc, and finally you had a normal life.
There was this problem though, where he never noticed your feelings. You never made it subtle either.
You brought flowers, you baked with Eula when she visited you sometimes to gift it to him. He was not a smiling person to begin with, on top of that he only ruffled your hair while your face beaming with blush after mustering your whole willpower for that occassion.
Kaeya made fun of you, and you felt like hitting him sometimes.
There was another thing that was bothering you.
"Here's your orange juice." He tapped the cold juice on your forehead as you slouching over the bar. You yelped by the coldness before you took the orange juice.
You blew the fringe from your face before you drink, eyes staring at the man you fell in love with focusing on his bartending duties. The way he folded his sleeves up to his elbows and his long hair tied into high ponytail, it was such a killer.
"You can't stay here for so long or your father will get angry again." You huffed at the mention of your father, taking even more sweet time on your juice made by Diluc.
"I wish I don't have to go back home." You grumbled, thinking of all the things your father will make you do if you return now.
"Just don't get on his bad side." Diluc said, and you just pouted. He would not understand. You felt suffocate being in that home. You always hope Eula would bring you home with her sometimes.
