Aether

Aether met a beautiful lady when he first started to travel to Sumeru. That lady saw him first by the first road to Sumeru, looking surprised seeing an outlander stepping his first step on the land of hidden knowledges. What a surprise turned into a smile, and you welcomed him happily. 

At first glance, you already looked like a fighter, a coat over your shirt and shorts. During fights, he saw you were a sword wielder. Seeing you was a breath of fresh air, and he never told anyone, even Paimon, that seeing you the first time made his heart skip a beat. 

Journeying together in Sumeru, your goal aligned with him. He wanted to help Dendro Archon while you wanted to stop the false God from happening. 

You were a traveler who had always had your eyes on the Doctor of the Fatui Harbinger. The said evil person had murdered your family cold-blooded so you were on a mission to seek revenge for good, while also preventing any other destruction by the Dottore inflicting other people. 

While you were telling your stories, Aether never lose his eyes on you. Paimon noticed his stares had been much different than any other day, or with any other ladies. It was as if he stared passed through your story and only took in you. 

A couple of weeks after, it seemed Aether was smitten with you. Whatever you asked for, Aether was never hesitant to do it. Paimon had no problem since you even prepare delicious food for her. In short, you were the most favorite person aside from Aether, after all the people they had met. 

"Aether ?" You suddenly came by the door greeting Aether who was just finished getting ready. He froze a little seeing you, as beautiful as ever. It was a bit annoying that he always froze up around you while you were just nonchalant around him. Paimon giggled silently.

"Have you finished preparing ? Tighnari is waiting for us." You walked closer to Aether and he just nodded. You smiled, fixing his cape that was folded around his neck. Again, he froze up at how close your hand was to him. Plus, he could see the top of your head, your entire face up close. The smell of your scent that you always had made his heart beat harshly against his chest. 

"There. Tighnari won't say it, but his eyes will always look at your folded cape in irritation until you fix it. It gets tiring for him." You giggled, and he smiled at your laugh. That adorable laughs you had always made his day. 

"Come on, it might rain soon. The cloud looked kinda gloomy." You said, walking out of his room. Paimon tilted her head at Aether with a teasing smile and he shoved her playfully with a shy smile. 

Aether and you walked through the forest, beating the crocodiles and fungi along the way. As predicted, the rain started to pour down badly and forced both of you to take shelter.  Unfortunately for you, you let loose your hair today for all of them to get caught in the rain. He noticed your frustration over your wet hair.

"I'll help." Aether said, and you glanced at him for his offer. You were hesitant for a few seconds before you nodded silently and pushed your hair to the back.

He carefully gathered your hair, silently admiring how healthy and beautiful they were. Gently, he squeezed your hair to dry them. It was quiet with the sound of the rain around you. Paimon kept gazing outside, giving the both of you space.

"I have a towel." He told you as he watched you continue to tend to your hair. You shook your head with a smile. 

"Your hair needs to dry too."
