That was what people called the daughter of the wealthiest family in Sumeru, you.
You were the epitome of elegance and modesty. For the elderly, you were exemplary for the youngsters. Hair was soft and nourished as it was well taken care of, and you were decorated with the prettiest dresses. As if you were the rarest gem, your father had tended to you with extreme care and you deserve nothing but the highest-classed in anything.
Your tutor, your home doctor, and your personal guard were handpicked exclusively for you by your father. The payment they received can fend them off for a lifetime. Only a crazy person would reject such an offer. Not even the Sage could pay them what your father offered.
Though this excessive attention from your father invited many, or to be exact, almost all your female peers to be annoyed and bear hatred towards you. Attention seeker, two-faced, and many more horrible names being called that made you rather reserved. You became like a walking doll, and a decoration next to your father.
To your personal attendants, you were a timid and quiet girl. It seemed being assigned to you was not as bad as they thought as they had imagined a spoiled girl that would order them around. You spoke only to ask questions and smiled when it suits you. Those names that you were called did not suit you at all. You were just an innocent girl that they turned a blind eye to because of jealousy.
Until one day, you were gone for a day.
It was a nightmare for your father. Every guard and mercenary moved to find you as your father promised a whole fortune as a reward to those who succeeded. As for Cyno, he was saved as your father told him to rest for the day to have a family bond with you.
After the whole day, you were found laying down in your nightdress in the middle of the hall of your home. Nobody saw you leave or enter, so the incident remained a mystery.
Not to you.
It was the most horrendous experience. You were unable to move under the dark gaze of what looked like a demon, grinning from ear to ear while feasting its eyes on your body. You felt absolutely bare from any fabric like it could see everything from you. You thought it was just sleep paralysis, but you were greeted with the tear-stricken face of your father once you woke up.
Tighnari was called as soon as you woke up. He tried to be on time as tending to you was always what he looked up to the most, obviously for the unrealistic payment. Other than that, not many patients had been as helpful and compliant as you. Despite being treated like a princess, you were humble.
