Xiao has stayed loyal to his God for as long as he can remember. He stayed composed in whatever he was doing, no emotion could shake him from his resolve. If he decided to execute someone, he would do so without second thoughts. Nowadays, he became ruthless toward those who commit a grave sin.
Morax was not originally like this. He was a beloved ruler of the nation that the people rely on. All of the Yakshas and fellow Gods and Goddesses found his presence a sacred one.
Most of all, everyone liked him better when you were around.
His love for you knew no bounds. Whatever you want, he would give it to you. Everyone acknowledged that you were his happiness.
Even though you were a mortal, you bear a great beauty that no Goddesses could compare. Your presence has the same effect as being in the presence of a deity. The calmness you provided to the people around you drew people closer to you. Even one of the renowned Archons had fallen for you. Before Xiao fell deeper into the dark abyss within himself, you were the one who always steer them away.
For Xiao, you were like a mother to him. Having your fingers go across his hair gently, listening to your beautiful voice hums that lull him to sleep, oh how he missed those so much. Thanks to Morax, you were able to withstand the darkness from him and stayed sane. It seemed that the Archon approved of him seeking affection from you despite having no blood relation whatsoever.
He admired the relationship you and Morax had. Every Friday morning, Morax would bring you around Liyue for fresh air without fail. He would cook your favorite dishes, and he also would make a place specifically for you using his Geo power. You used to complain that changing the Liyue landscape in a wimp could affect the future and Morax would just nod at your words but failed to comply with them.
Then, you would rant about it to the Yakshas when they decided to spend time with you, how Morax was stubborn and never listen to what you said. In return, you would cook them delicious meals that the humans usually had. Everyone agreed that you cook better compared to Morax.
And then one day, everyone was greeted with good news.
"(Y/n)'s pregnant."
Everyone was rejoicing at that news, for the future Ruler that will continue the legacy. Xiao noticed an uneasy look came from you, who already how the future would be. Morax became even more overprotective over you. He even traveled to Sumeru to find every piece of information regarding pregnant women, between a God and a mortal, the side effects of it, and many more.
