LUZ POV:

I stand in front of the school gate. Today is the day we get our dorms. Which means, I won't be living with Eda, King, and Hooty anymore. Well, I'll still be living with them, I just won't go to the owl house as much.

I walk into Hexside College, the first person I see is Willow, standing by her locker. I speed walk up to her. She isn't facing me, so I slam my hands onto her shoulders. She jumps and turns around as fast as she can. I start laughing at the shocked look on her face.

Willow is not amused. Her face is as straight as a ruler. "You- You should've... Seen the- the look on your face," I say, my own laughter cutting myself off. "That's not 18 year old maturity, Luz," Willow says, while rolling her eyes at me.

"What makes you think I have the ability to have '18 year old maturity,'" I say, making air quotation marks around the last part. "Honestly, I don't really think that you do have '18 year old maturity,' but you should have it," Willow says, while putting her extra stuff in her locker.

"Well, I will never get it, so don't expect it out of me," I say, proudly. "That's not something to be proud about, Luz..." "Oh well, I'm proud of it," I say, putting a hand on my chest. Willow facepalms herself.

"Anyways," I stretch out the 's', "when are we finding out our dorms?" "I'm pretty sure we just go to the office, say our name, and they'll give us our dorm key," Willow explains. "Oh, that sounds easy. How about we go right now? We still have... 5 minutes," I say. Willow nods her head. I grab her hand and lead her to the office.

I let go of Willow's hand and open the door. "I'm Luz Noceda and I'm here for my dorm key," I clarify. It takes a little for Mr.Bump, the principal, to find my dorm number, but when they do, he hands me my key. "You're room 316, I haven't gotten anyone else with that dorm, so I don't know your roommate yet," He explains. I nod and let Willow ask for her dorm key.

After that, me and Willow say goodbye to Mr.Bump and head off to our classes.

I've already finished my "Get to Know Me" presentation. It went by fast, and I'm glad about that. I have so much stage fright. When I was in the spelling bee, my leg was shaking so much you could practically hear it through the microphone.

Willow's advice for stage fright actually helped. Which isn't very surprising, because Willow is the best at advice.

On second thought, Willow hasn't finished her presentation, and I'm pretty sure it's today, but it won't be bad, Willow is good at everything she does.

Me and Willow walk into class, and I see Cleo, she doesn't notice me though, since she is looking at her phone. I let out a sigh of relief. Not because I don't like Cleo, but because I know she'll ask me to sit next to her, and I wanna sit by Willow. I sit at a desk in the second to last row, and Willow sits next to me.

"After everyone gets settled in, we will finish doing our presentations. I hope everyone is ready," The teacher says. "Eee!! I'm doing mine today, at least I hope I am," Willow says very excitedly. I give her a small smile and say, "I'm sure you are."

Willow's presentation was amazing. I'm not just saying that because she's my friend, but it was genuinely amazing. I don't think anyone did better than Willow.

She didn't stutter once, and everything she said made sense. If she was nervous, you couldn't tell at all. She presentable and happy, like she always does.

I pack up my stuff and so does Willow. We then say our goodbyes and go to our next class. I have my next class with Amity. I haven't talked to Amity in a day, yet it feels like so long.
