LUZ POV:

I've been hanging out with Cleo a lot today. She's really nice. Right now I'm at lunch and I'm sitting with Cleo and her friends. They seem nice. I feel bad for not hanging out with Willow, Gus, and Amity, though. 'I hope they don't think I'm replacing them...' No. They're my friends, they'll understand. I hope.

Cleo and her friends are really nice, I doubt that Willow, Gus, and Amity won't like them. Maybe I could introduce them to each other? Except for Willow, obviously, since they've already met. We could all have a little friend group!

"Hey Luz, thank you for being my friend. It would've been a lit lonelier without you," Cleo says, while scratching the back of her neck. "Oh! Of course, I'm glad I'm you're friend," I say, giving her a soft smile.

Cleo holds my hand under the table. I don't feel any heat rising to my cheeks, yet I always blush when Amity holds my hand. Why is it different this time? Is it just Amity.. No. I don't like Amity. I don't like Cleo either. I can't say that though, So I just have to hold her hand.

I look over at Willow, Gus, and Amity, and they seem to be having a serious conversation. I wonder what they're talking about, because they never have 'serious' conversations with me. When I'm with Willow, Gus, and Amity, we are usually laughing our asses off, but they seem very serious right now. They all have straight faces, even Gus, which is surprising.

"Hey, Luz," Cleo says, while waving her hand up and down in front of my face to get my attention, I jump. "Oh- Sorry, I was zoning out," I say. "No worries, it's fine! Since hoco is coming up, I wanted help picking out my dress, although it's in like 3 months. If I don't pick it out, like, right now, then I'll never get it," Cleo explains, in an excited manner. "Oh! Sure, I can help," I say.

Cleo gets on her phone and starts looking up dresses. The first one she shows me is a blue, white, wintery dress. It's tight around the waist and goes to the top of the knee. The sleeves are long and pointy at the end, which means they end about around where her fingers start. I don't really think the dress matches her, but I won't say that. I have a feeling she'll assume I'm calling her ugly.. So I just say "Mhm, that's cute."

"It's my second option, this is my first option," she says while finding the next dress to show me. The next dress Cleo shows me is red, with white cotton around the neck, at the end of the sleeves, and at the bottom of the dress. The dress ends right above her knees, just like the other one. I like this one more, it matches her. "Ooo, I like this one, too. I think it matches you," I say. "Thank you Luz," Cleo says, while giving me a soft smile.

AMITY POV:

"Guys, don't tell me it's just me, but it seems like Cleo is trying to take Luz away from us, or maybe just me," I say, mumbling the last part. "Why do you say that," Willow asks. "Every time I try to talk to Luz, she's always talking to Cleo, and then Cleo pulls Luz somewhere else, away from me," I explain. "Are you sure it's not just a coincidence?" "I'm 100% sure that it's not a coincidence. Every time she pulls Luz away, she glares at me. Right. In. The. Eyes," I say.

"I don't wanna say your wrong, but we shouldn't jump to conclusions, yet. Cleo is still new, maybe she's just trying to make friends," Willow says. "But she shouldn't make friends by pulling them away from their other friends," I say, a little too loud. I give myself a mental facepalm. "Sorry, you're right. We shouldn't jump to conclusions yet," I say, more quiet this time.

All of us get up and throw our food away. I then look over at Cleo and her table, and realize she was looking at me the entire conversation.
