"Movement to the west!" Someone shouted across the ways.

Everyone gathered towards the area when the news of Luna's arrival spread amongst the few of us. She strutted through, Anya the leader of Ton DC beside her. Many of Luna's men and women sped ahead to ready the ship for their immediate departure.

She came along to me and clasped me on the shoulder, flicking Bo a little grin. "I will leave more men at your disposal, hopefully you will spread them well across your two camps." Her voice was low and gravelly. "I assume you have the payment."

I nodded quickly, my hand subconsciously stroking Bo's blond curls.

"Good." She smiled, squeezing my shoulder and walking past to board her vessel.

When she was gone, I crouched in front of my son, whispering to him in a soft voice. "Go to the house, mama has to work."

He obeyed and scuttled away, knowing I would get him as soon as I was done.

I stood up and turned around, Anya standing right there.

I nodded. "Anya."

"You have a beautiful son." She stated, her tone dangerous, like she was threatening me.

I tilted my head and narrowed my eyes. "I know."

"Do you have the payment?"

"I do." I muttered, turning away and walking to the hut.

If that bitch ever tried to do anything to Bo, she can guarantee a place amongst the spikes.

I tugged off the rope that tied the door shut. I swung it open and awoke the sleeping prisoner.

"Come on." I said quietly, grabbing him by the arm and pulling him to his feet.

"What's going on? Where are we going?" He asked, squinting into the daylight.

"Take my advice and give them what they want." I mumbled.

"You're giving me to someone else? What are they going to do to me?" He asked, his walk slowing and his arm tensing and jerking under my iron grip.

"I'm sorry it came to this John Murphy." My tone now apologetic as I heard the uncertainty in his voice.

"Please just tell me what's happening!" He hissed.

I tightened my grasp around his arm hard so that he would quieten down. "These people are not like me, do not fight against their wishes." I whispered, having to keep my voice quiet so that Anya and her people wouldn't hear me.

He kept quiet but his eyes were now worried more than ever as he came face to face with the people of the wood clan.

"Your payment." I glowered at Anya. "As promised."

John began shaking his head, looking from her to me as I let him go and a burly dark haired warrior took him away. They put a gag on him then a bag over his head, roughly pulling him along to the horses and carts.

"Thank you. I hope you find the new plot of land to be of satisfaction." Anya drawled.

Before she could turn away, I called to her attention. She turned with a simple flick of the head.

"When you're done with him, let me know." I said, trying to sound level headed.

She scoffed. "Why? You have a sudden taste for the other side?"

"No. I need a mule. My second isn't exactly the most skilful, he needs some practice." I corrected her with annoyance.

She shrugged and turned back around. "We shouldn't need him for too long." She said cynically.

I stepped back into camp and watched both parties set off in their own directions. Anya and her few disappearing into the trees while Luna's ship sailed slowly into the vast ocean and out of our sights.
