Eye For An Eye

It was now brighter and I could see, but it was so wrong at the same time.

The right of my face burned and I could barely keep my eyes open. The amount of blood that had come from my head drained me and the cut on my leg had worsened after all the fast paced limping I had been doing.

"You can't go any further." Bellamy told me with my arm still tightly draped over his shoulder. "You can't even walk anymore."

"That's bullshit, come on." I started to try and move my legs only to realise that all the limping and walking I thought I had been doing was just Bellamy dragging me. "You might actually be right on that one, perhaps a quick rest?"

"There's no time, the ark landed this way and we have to get there fast." He sounded stressed.

"Well I'm only slowing you down, so leave me, and go find your people." I told him, pulling myself away from him with a stumble and a fall. "The sooner you find help, the better."

He stepped behind me and dragged me towards a sheltered area, hidden from anyone who might pass. "Try to stay awake, I'll be back with help as soon as I can."

Even then I could already feel my eyelids grow heavy.

"I haven't slept in two days, try to be quick..." I mumbled.

I sat there like a sitting duck, unable to move, without food or water as my pouch had burst, a cut leg that might already be infected and a concussion.

I slowly made efforts to pull my final blade from my pocket. It was all I had for defence and I used it to cut my pants, exposing my wound that wasn't as bad as I had anticipated but that didn't mean there wasn't a lot of blood.

I pulled off my boots slowly, taking at least half an hour to do so, having rests and moments of self pity in between. I cut my pants shorter as I could feel myself over heating and proceeded to remove my armour. My cape had practically been ripped to shreds but there was still enough fabric to cover my head and leg wound.

When I had finally done so after frustration and anger, I rested my head back and dozed off unwillingly.

I was snapped awake by the sound of soft voices and crunching leaves.

My heart raced and I reached for my small weapon, holding it in a way that I could launch it. The eye that I could barely see out of threatened to fall shut and my head began to droop but I fought against it as hard as I could.

The voices went quiet and it was Bellamy's face that appeared. I dropped the knife behind me and closed my exposed eye, I had to wrap half of my head because the cut extended so far.

"I was having a good nap until you showed up..." I croaked, leaning forward and trying to get to my feet.

He helped me up and pulled me out of the shelter, that was where I saw Finn and a few other older people who were a lot cleaner than anyone I had ever seen.

"These are your people?" I asked him. "They look weak."

He chuckled and sat me down against a tree when an older woman came beside me and examined me closely but also at a distance.

"I fought with the sky people you know, so stop looking at me like I ate your lunch." I muttered as my stomach growled violently.

She looked at Bellamy and Finn as if confused about my reference then back at me, finally willing to treat me, not that I knew what she was doing in the first place.
