"You're a what?!" He boomed, his voice echoing for beyond his flimsy tent fabric.

"Calm yourself!" I demanded, my face cross and my fists clenched.

"Bellamy, I promise you she's only here to help." Clarke intervened.

"Oh yeah? And how can you be so sure? She poisoned our whole camp! She personally filled my bags with those nuts that nearly got us both killed!" His voice remaining the same volume. He then leaned closer and spoke in a dangerous whisper. "She's a grounder, and grounder's have done nothing but try to kill us so far."

I stood up to meet him at eye level though that did not work since I was missing a few inches in height.

"Listen here, you slimy plank, I have not tried to kill or harm a single one of your people. Everything that I've done has been in the name of peace, though right now I have the aching itch to rip your throat out and use it as a lovely neck piece." I growled, shoving him in the chest. "If you know what best for your people you'd join forces with me, be smart about this Sky boy."

"We have guns." He hissed. "We don't need your axes and swords."

I snorted and tilted my head. "I've read a lot about that weapon and I tell you, you will not survive a minute once those bullets run out." I then turned to Clarke and pressed my lips into a firm line. "You have till the morning to accept my offer."

I heard an unfamiliar click behind me as I turned but kept walking.

"What makes you think we can let you out alive?" Bellamy threatened.

I turned to see him holding one of these guns he spoke highly of and smiled. "Because you wouldn't kill a chief would you?" I retorted. "It'd be shame to have my people wipe yours out before day break."

He narrowed his eyes which flickered between Clarke's and mine. She silently asked for him to lower his weapon which he did, reluctantly so, and I departed.

Murmurs continued in the tent but it was not my business to listen.

A strong smell caught my nose and I looked over my shoulder to my blind spot. My eyes widened as a raging fire began to grow.

"Fire!" Someone yelled.

The flames thrashed harder and smoke poured from the wooden structure, I sprinted for the nearest bucket and scooped up as much dirt as I could manage and threw it on to the flames, passing it to someone else who was on their way.

"FIRE!" I called out, louder than the others could manage.

All at once, people ran from all directions, trying to put out the fire.

The fire wilted as quickly as it rose and finally everyone settled with a calming sigh.

Bellamy and Clarke ran in our direction with puzzlement written on their faces. "What happened?" Bellamy demanded.

"The smoke house burnt down." Octavia explained. "That was all of our food!"

"I told you, there was too much wood on the fire!" Murphy howled, shoving a delinquent in the chest.

I stepped over in their direction as a fight seemed to be burning up and shoved them apart forcefully, almost knocking the unacquainted young man off his feet. I turned to Murphy who had his feet firmly planted in the ground and jerked my head for him to leave the area.

He clenched his jaw but did as told, not without sending a nasty scowl towards the stranger's way.

I turned to the delinquent and prodded him hard in the shoulder. "This is on you."

His already present frown deepened and he puffed out his chest, stepping closer to me. "Taking sides with the traitor now?"

I bared my teeth and clenched my fist, ready to attack but Bellamy interrupted and tried shoving us apart, knocking him unbalanced while I held my gaze.

"Into the drop ship." He snarled at me.

I huffed out a breath of air and flicked my long locks over my shoulder as I turned away.

Being my arrogant and stubborn self, I turned away from the drop ship and began lurking, wanting to get my hands on one of these guns.

I caught sight of one laying out and pretty and perked up with excitement, making my way towards it.

"Thea." I heard my proper name being uttered.

I turned my attention away from the weapon immediately and saw Murphy approaching.

"Murphy." I greeted, smiling pleasantly.

"We haven't really talked since, you know."

I nodded, stepping closer to him. "Doesn't feel like this place is very conversation friendly, does it?" I joked, looking about the area.

He chuckled. "Tell me about it."

There was something off about him. It was something in the way he shifted, the way he looked at me that was empty but full of heat and ice.

"You alright?" I asked, examining his features more.

His eyebrows tensed and he diverted his eyes, like he had been caught out.

My jaw clenched and I swallowed my saliva. "Do you have something you need to tell me? Because now would be the time."

He shook his head rigidly and smiled awkwardly, "No, no, don't worry about it, yeah?"

I narrowed my eyes and turned away, coldly if I had to say so. But what does he take me for? An idiot? A fool?

I made my way towards the gun, almost making a reach for it when another voice stopped me, this time a more irritable one.

"Lancaster, What the hell are you doing?" He snapped.

I turned with a half-assed scowl and faced him.

"I told you to meet me in the drop ship."

"And I don't follow your command." I snapped back.

He narrowed his eyes and rested his hand on his hip, "We're all going hunting, I think we should talk."

"Sudden change of heart?"

"No."

I walked up next to him. "You just want information."

"That would be right."

"Fine." I muttered. "But at a price, a fully loaded gun and some metal from your ship."

"I can give you the metal, but no on the gun."

"Gun or no deal." I bartered. "It's no a big ask, just one gun and twelve bullets."

"Fine, but nothing big."

I held my hand out to him for him to shake. "Doesn't the saying go something like... It's not the size that matters, it's what you do with it that counts?"

"I think you might have put it in the wrong context." He lightened up slightly, taking my hand in his and giving it a firm shake.

"I kind of thought so."
