Chapter 8

Itsumiko didn't sleep last night. Thoughts kept invading her mind about Sasuke and Neji. She enjoyed the kiss with Sasuke, but she wished it was with Neji. She partly felt bad because she obviously knew Sakura like Sasuke and if she knew they kissed last night she would freak out that she wasn't the one kissing him. She groaned and got up, walking to the dining room.

"Morning sleeping beauty," Kakashi said. She sat down and looked around.

"Where the hell is Naruto?" She asked. Kakashi laid his book down.

"He exerted too much chakra so I'm letting him sleep in," He said and handed her a cup of coffee. She took a sip of it, feeling herself perk up a bit.

"We are going to the bridge today, Tazuna is close to finishing it so we are going to guard him while he works," Kakashi said. She nodded her head and set her empty cup down. They gathered their stuff and walked with Tazuna to the bridge. She felt Sakura pull her shoulder a little bit.

"Why were you and Sasuke alone?" She asked her. Itsumiko rolled her eyes.

"We were just talking Sakura," She said. Sakura scoffed and crossed her arms.

"Talking is never just talking," She said.

"Only in your world Sakura," Itsumiko said. They got to the bridge to see everyone was dead.

"What the hell?" Tazuna said. Mist started to form around them. They got into formation around Tazuna and pulled out kunai. They saw Zabuza and his partner show up.

"So we were right, you are working with someone," Itsumiko said. Zabuza chuckled.

"Even the most skilled shinobi need back up," He said. Water clones formed around them.

"Hn, that one is still shaking," Zabuza said, talking about Sasuke.

"I'm shaking with excitement," Sasuke said. Kakashi looked at him.

"Go ahead Sasuke," He said. Sasuke flashed around them, taking out each of the clones without struggle. He appeared in front of them.

"You have a rival, Haku," Zabuza said. The boy named Haku nodded his head. Haku charged at Sasuke. They spared, moving around and dodging each other. Sasuke was a little slower than Haku but he managed to keep up with him. Sasuke got him in a situation where he couldn't use his other hand. Sakura cheered at him until Itsumiko realized he was forming hand signs with one hand. Ice mirrors formed around the two of them. Itsumiko tried to run towards the dome but Zabuza stuck his blade out.

"Your fight is with me," He said. Itsumiko gritted her teeth. . Zabuza swung his blade but

her kunai clashed with it. She could feel that Zabuza was trying to test her strength. She pushed back and got the blade away from her and jumped back.

"I see you're not scared of a blade, but what will that tiny kunai do?" Zabuza said. She pulled out a scroll and summoned her katana. It was lightning infused so she could use her lightning style with it.

"You came prepared," He said. She focused her chakra into the blade. Lightning sparked around her hand and through the katana.

"Itsumiko, you are not strong enough to take him. Let Kakashi-sensei handle this," Sakura said.

"I think she will be just fine," Kakashi said. He lifted his headband up to show his Sharingan. Itsumiko charged at Zabuza. She swung her blade, hitting his. Lightning sparked around, surrounding them. She noticed there was one weakness towards Zabuza's mist. It created water. They continued their fight, she tried to corner him.
