Chapter 13

Itsumiko opened her right eye slightly. It was slightly dark and she turned her head. The light hit her eye and she winced.

"Itsu, you're awake," Sakura said and leaned over her. Itsumiko reached up to her left eye. Some of the blood was dried on her face but she was still bleeding and her eye was swollen. She winced at the pain and Sakura grabbed her hand. Itsumiko pulled her hand away.

"Don't touch me," She said. She sat up and she saw that Sakura looked hurt.

"Where are we?" She asked Sakura.

"We are close to the tower. We have a day left but Sasuke still isn't awake and Naruto is knocked out," She said. Itsumiko felt a pain in her shoulder. She grabbed her arm and looked over. She saw a mark on her shoulder. She looked over at Sasuke and noticed he had the same mark on his neck.

"Son of a bitch," Itsumiko said and she went to get up but she lost her balance and grabbed hold of the tree she was in. Sakura tried to help but Itsumiko swatted her hand away.

"What did I just say?" She said in an angry voice.

"I'm just trying to help. We got knocked away from each other and then I found you

laying out in the open like this. Why are you being so rude?" She asked her. Itsumiko gritted her teeth.

"Probably because I just got manhandled by some Sannin and-" Itsumiko stopped herself. The thought of what he did to her made her boil with rage. She could feel the mark she had started to creep out. It went down her arm and up her neck. She could feel power within her but it wasn't just her own power. It felt strong and it almost overwhelmed her. She tried to focus on calming down and the mark stopped and retracted itself. They heard the bushes rustle and Itsumiko pulled out a kunai. They watched as a squirrel appeared. They let out a breath and then Sakura threw a kunai at it, blocking it from walking over the obvious trap she laid.

"Sakura, I don't mean to be rude but that is the worst trap you have laid," She said. Sakura glared at her. Then the three Sound ninja appeared.

"You woke up early, I'm surprised," He said. Itsumiko walked out of the tree. Sakura tried to get her to stop but she brushed her hand off.

"I swear I will kill you and your dumbass Lord!" She yelled at them. The guy in bandages chuckled.

"You might be able to, but in your condition, I don't think that will happen," He said. Itsumiko flashed behind the guy with spiky hair and grabbed their scroll. It was the one she needed and she was faster now. She shoved the scroll with her other one. The girl's eyes widened and she looked at her teammates.

"Dosu, Zaku, maybe we should just go," She said. Zaku piped up.

"No Kin, I want to have some fun," He said and he held his hands out. Itsumiko moved

out of the way of his jutsu, leaving Sakura to deal with it. Kin grabbed Sakura by her hair.

"Maybe if you spent more time training then shampooing your hair you would be stronger," Kin said to her. Itsumiko flashed behind Kin and put a kunai to her throat.

"I'm really not in the mood to deal with you guys," She said. Suddenly, Sakura cut her hair, getting free from Kin. Lee showed up and tried to save Sakura. He took on Dosu and lasted for a bit, but whatever Dosu has on his arms almost burst his eardrums. Then Team ten showed up. Itsumiko sighed and knocked out Kin. She moved back and leaned against the tree. She watched as they tried to take them down. She looked up and saw Neji and Tenten. Neji was watching her with soft eyes. She started to feel a strong chakra and peaked inside the tree. Sasuke was awake and the curse mark was spread over half his body. He got up and walked out.
