Two weeks had gone by and the bridge was finally done. Itsumiko's wounds hadn't gotten any better so when they got home she needed to go to the hospital, per her dad's orders. They were saying goodbye to everyone and of course Inari and Naruto got emotional. They waved by and headed back to the Leaf.

They walked back in silence. They were finally done. No one was after them anymore and they could get some rest. The boat ride felt longer than when they were going to the Wave village but that was also because no one was talking. They got off the boat and Itsumiko was so tired that she fell behind the group. Sasuke noticed this and slowed to her pace.

"You okay?" He asked her. She shrugged her shoulders.

"I go from sleeping in everyday to waking up early in the morning just to watch some old guy build a bridge. I almost got killed by one of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen and now have to go to the hospital. Yeah I'm doing great," She said. Sasuke chuckled at her.

"Were you sad I almost died?" He asked. She looked at him.

"I didn't even know you were almost dead until the end of it. I checked your pulse, you had one so no I wasn't sad," She said.

"I didn't have it as rough as you did, Haku was too kind," He said. Itsumiko scoffed.

"Yes, he was such an easy opponent that you almost died. Congratulations I hope every person you go up against is like that," She said.

"Glad to see your sense of humor is still intact," He said with a laugh. She looked ahead to see the gates of the Leaf village. She let out a sigh of relief. She was glad to be home. She saw Kakashi wave her forward so she ran up to him.

"Now, we are going straight to the hospital to get your hands checked out," He said. She groaned.

"I'm fine, seriously. It doesn't even hurt that bad," She said. He reached down and grabbed her hand. The pain shot through her hand and into her arm and it was overwhelming to the point she almost fell over. Kakashi caught her.

"My point, exactly," He said. She rolled her eyes and they entered the village. She tried to walk in the direction of her house, but Kakashi grabbed the back of her backpack and dragged her to the hospital. They walked in and Kakashi explained what happened. They got her into a room as quickly as possible and removed the bandages. She was still bleeding but it wasn't as bad. The doctor came in and sighed.

"I'm going to heal your hands, it may sting a little but the process itself is painless," He said. He grabbed her hands and a green orb formed. It stung a little bit but it wasn't bad. She watched as the cuts got smaller and smaller until they were gone. The parts where the blade cut deep left a little scar but nothing noticeable.

"Alright, you are free to go. Make sure you aren't grabbing anymore blades please," He said. Kakashi chuckled and they walked out of the hospital.

"Make sure you aren't grabbing anymore blades," Itsumiko said in a sarcastic and mocking tone.

"It's not like it was my fault my katana was knocked out of my hand and I wasn't quick

enough to grab a kunai. I had one option to keep me from dying," She said. Kakashi laid a hand on her shoulder.

"I'm sure he didn't mean it in a rude way," He said and they walked into the house. Itsumiko took off her shoes and ran into her room, falling onto her bed. She heard footsteps and heard Kakashi chuckle.

"Aren't you going to get dressed and at least put your stuff away?" He asked her. The problem was, she was already asleep. He saw the steady rising and falling of her breathing and saw she wasn't moving. It was her first mission and it really took a lot out of her. He walked in and carefully took her backpack off and set it on the floor. He walked out and closed her door a bit.
