Itsumiko had been training with Neji for the last two weeks. She had been getting better at using the Byakugan and Neji had taught her how to use the eight trigrams jutsu. She was getting better at it and had managed to hit Neji with it. Although, he was faster and had more practice with the jutsu.
"I'm surprised, The White Flash isn't living up to her reputation," Hiashi said from the front of the room. Itsumiko stopped and let out a groan.
"I keep telling people not to call me that," She said. She heard Hiashi chuckle.
"With the speed you have you should be able to land more hits than that, what happened? Did you decide not to practice after hours?" He asked. She could feel he was taunting her and it was working. She got into position for the jutsu and she picked up her speed. She managed to hit more of his chakra points.
"Come on, you can be faster than that. Your dad told me good things and you are not living up to those comments," He said. That hit a nerve with her and all they saw was white running around the room. She was so upset she didn't even think. She stopped and her hand was inches from Neji's chest. She was trying to catch her breath and she let the Byakugan fade away. Neji's eyes were wide and he lifted his hand and gently lowered hers.
"I think that is enough for today. I think you made your point Hiashi," Neji said in a harsh voice and walked Itsumiko outside so she could get some air.
"I-I'm sorry," She said softly. Neji laid a hand on her shoulder.
"It's fine. I know how Hiashi is. He pushes your buttons to make you angry. If you don't show results he just leaves you," He said. She sighed and she felt Neji take her hand.
"Let's go," He said. She looked at him and followed him out of the compound. He held her hand in a gentle manner. As they walked she noticed he was taking her to the waterfall that was on the outskirts of the village.
"Neji, why are we here," She asked with a giggle. Neji stopped at the edge of the stream and looked into the water.
"I come here to clear my head on occasion," He told her. She looked around and it was beautiful. The waterfall and the stream was a light blue color and the birds were flying from tree to tree. The only breeze they felt was from the water coming down and hitting the stream. Neji pulled her to sit down with him.
"I have a confession to make," He said. She looked at him and he had a small blush on his face.
"When you first came to train with us I thought you were the most beautiful person I had seen. Then when you left I couldn't get you off my mind. It wasn't until the last couple of times you came to train with us that I actually gathered the strength to talk to you," He said. Her eyes widened slightly and a blush formed on her face.
"I didn't know how to talk to you. I never knew it was just because you were too shy to talk to me. I always thought you thought of me as a nuisance," She said. Neji chuckled softly.
"I would never think of you as a nuisance. I also thought Lee ran you off with all his flirting," He told her. She shook her head.
"To be honest, I never really minded Lee flirting. He wasn't the one I wanted," She said. Neji chuckled and leaned over to her. He lifted her chin up and gently kissed her. He pulled away slightly and looked at her.
"Well, do you have the person you want?" He asked her. She giggled and nodded her head. He smiled and continued to kiss her. It was sweet and gentle and he held her face in a gentle manner. She had no other thoughts on her mind other than what was happening right now. She laid her hand on his chest and the kiss became deeper.
