"I'm saying that we are done." The words felt like acid leaving from his mouth and it made him sick to his stomach. He never thought this day would would come, a day where he and Liza ended but here it was.
Steve looked away from Liza but not before he caught sight of the tears welling up in her eyes. He couldn't look at her right now, not with the anger that was running through him. He was sure that he would either cave and take his words back or say something that absolutely shattered Liza and he couldn't do either without hurting himself.
"Fuck you, Harrington." Liza whispered. Steve could barely hear it over the blood rushing in his ears. "Fuck you."
Steve ran his hand through his hair in frustration as he heard Liza run out of the store, he looked up just in time to see her run down the street. He saw Robin standing in shock, her eyes still locked on to the spot where Liza once stood. Sighing, Steve turned and stormed towards the counter, swinging his hand towards a stack of VHS tapes and knocked them down to the ground. He placed his hands on the counter top as he seethed, thankful that the customers had now gone back to their browsing.
Steve was beyond angry, he was filled with ire and disbelief. He had just ended the best relationship he had ever been in, not only loosing Liza but possibly his friendship with Dustin as well. He wanted to find Eddie Munson and put his fist through the Metalheads face, he didn't understand how Liza didn't see that Eddie so clearly liked her. The blonde couldn't be that oblivious, even he could see Eddie's feelings towards her and he didn't catch on to alot.
"What did you do?" Robins voice pulled Steve out of his thoughts. He spun around, eyes locking on to his best friend. That was another thing that made him livid. He had told Robin to leave it alone, told her not to spy on Liza and yet she did it anyways. In some ways Steve saw this as her fault as well.
"Backroom. Now." Steve growled, stalking towards the back of the store. Entering the room, he saw Keith sitting at the desk. "I'm taking my break." The Cheeto covered man looked back at Steve and rolled his eyes, leaving just as Robin entered. Steve watched as Robin stood in front of him, her arms crossed as she stared expectantly at him.
"What the hell was that, Harrington?" Robin exclaimed.
"That was the end of my relationship playing out in front of about twenty people, Buckley." Steve gestured towards the door with his hand, his chest felt tight and he wasn't sure if the numbness in his bones was from his anger or from breaking up with Liza. "Thanks to your genius plan!" Steve watched as Robin's eyes widened and her mouth dropped open. The girl spluttered a few times before she recovered.
"No! You do not get to blame me for that. That was your own idiotic and jealous doing." Robin pointed at him, she couldn't believe he was trying to blame her as if she was the one who forced him to end the relationship. "I was trying to help you, help your relationship! And it would have worked if-"
