Task Force X - Rick Flag

Chapter VI

Girl Talk 

After a little talking with the team and Rick, we were once again on the move. I was walking with Rick and he told me that we lost contact with the team that we split up with. They were nowhere to be found. As we were walking down the street, suddenly the loud sound of glass breaking was heard. Everyone turned towards it, with their weapons at the ready. I started laughing as I saw what it was. It was Harley. She smashed a window to grab a pretty bag that she saw in the window. "Seriously? What the hell is wrong with you people?" Rick said as he saw what was going on. Harley turned to him as she held the bag. She rolled her eyes and sighed. "We're bad guys. It's what we do." Harley simply stated, making me laugh once more. We then continued walking. I slightly bumped into Rick to get his attention. He looked down at me and smiled. "So, have you given it anymore thought?" I asked him, wanting to know what he was thinking. "Still working on it, Lydia. I'm sorry that I'm taking so long, but it's a lot to consider." I nodded at his words, completely understanding his situation. 

We continued to walk for another minute. "Take knee." Rick suddenly said and got down on his knees, looking at a building further down the street. I stood behind him, listening to what he was going to say. "Our body's at the top of that building. We get up there, pull them out of the vault they're hiding in. Helos extract us off the roof. It's Miller time." Rick said, making me smirk. I had an idea on who we were getting from the building, but I wasn't 100% sure of it, but it's an idea. Anyways, we made our way to the building and everyone hid behind destroyed cars. I rolled my eyes and walked up to Rick. I leaned down, making him look at me. "Let's get this over with, love." I said and kissed his cheek before walking towards the broken glass door. I could hear Rick call my name, but I ignored it. I used my magic to blow out the broken glass and walked through the door. Everyone followed after me and we grouped in the lobby. "Top floor, right?" I asked no one in particular. "Yeah." Someone answered. It wasn't Rick cause I didn't recognize the voice. I turned to Harley and whispered to her. "Wanna take the elevator?" I asked her, making her grin and nod. 

We made out way to the elevator and got in it. I pressed a floor button and the elevator dinged, taking us up. We waived down to the boys that were looking up at us. The two of us laughed as we saw the others slightly panic. Once the laughter stopped, Harley spoke up. "So what's the deal with you and Flag, huh?" She asked making me shrug. "Some supernatural beings have these things called mates." I started and she cut me off. "Oh! I've read books with those." She said, making me smile. I nodded and leaned against the elevator wall. "Yes, but it's not exactly like that. I'm supernatural and Rick isn't. And usually, when a supernatural being ends up getting a human mate, the human usually doesn't feel the connection until that person is also supernatural. But apparently, Rick can feel it, and it's a pretty strong connection as well. He's just currently trying to find out what to do what that information." I explained to her. She let out deep breath and looked into the glass of the elevator, fixing her hair ties. "That must be tough." I chuckled and nodded. "Yeah." I said back. 

Then she turned to me and smiled. "Well, I say go for it. Get together with him. Hell, marry him even." I laughed and so did Harley. Suddenly I sensed a presence that shouldn't be here and looked up. I quickly moved Harley away, taking her place as one of those ugly bastards appeared, kicking in the glass and me in the process. My back hit the elevator door and I growled and I stood up properly again. Suddenly one dropped thought the hatched of the elevator and turned to me. I fought the one that came just now and Harley was fighting the one that came through the window. I heard a gunshot next to me as I snapped the things neck and threw it out the window. I looked at the ground and saw the other dead. I held my hand up to high five Harley and she did. Suddenly both of us got a message on our phones that we got from Griggs. I took it out of my pocket and saw that Klaus texted. 'I'm close by, sister. Get ready to leave.' The message said. I looked up at Harley and she looked at me. Both of us were smirking. Suddenly the elevator dinged and I turned as the doors opened, revealing everyone standing there with their weapons ready to fight. 

They looked at the ground and saw one of them dead and us just standing there without a scratch. "Hey, guys." Harley said as she stepped over the thing and walked out of the elevator. I followed her with a smirk. As I was about to pass by Rick, he stopped me by gripping my upper arm lightly. "Are you all right?" I looked up at him and smiled. "I am a Mikaelson, my love. I'm always all right." He chuckled and let go of my arm. We walked into an office that was completely empty. That's when I heard Amanda Waller speak through Rick's comms. "Flag, they're all around you." "Hold." Rick said and we all stopped. "Use extreme caution." Waller finished and I cracked my neck, getting ready for a fight. "I don't like this, Flag." Floyd said as he held his gun at the ready. "I don't like it either." Rick said back to him. Suddenly those gross things dropped from the roof and then the fight started. 

A/N: Hey, guys!! Sorry for not updating in a while, but here's chapter 6!!! I've just been really busy at school with a project in English and then I have to prep for our Christmas performance that's in 2 weeks, so it's been pretty hectic lately. But I'll try and update whenever I have the time for it, which is right now. I love this story, I just need to update more, haha :D Anyways, hope you enjoyed this chapter and I'll try and get Chapter VII out as soon as possible. Love you all <3
