The Truth

His lips were soft against mine, although they were moving in a rushed and tough pace

His lips were soft against mine, although they were moving in a rushed and tough pace. He was kissing me with such passion and force, but it was also sweet. I wrapped my arms around his neck once more and pulled him closer as I kissed back with just as much force and the same amount of passion. I never wanted to let him go, but I was losing breath and I could tell he was too. I pulled away and leaned my forehead against his. I laughed in happiness, making him smile. "I'm so glad that you chose being with me, Rick. I really do not know what I would've done if you didn't." He chuckled and nodded slightly. "I'm glad too, if it means that I get to be in your arms all the time." I smiled and pecked his lips once more. "Of course it does." I stated back at him as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. "Hey, love birds!" Someone yelled, making me pull back from Rick and turn around to see Digger looking at us with a smirk. "If you're done eating each other's faces, we should get a move on." He said, making both of us nod. Digger then continued to walk with our other companions. I looked up at Rick. "Let's go." I said and he nodded.

He released his grip on my waist, but I saw him hesitate before doing it, which made me smile to myself. We then walked after the group, catching up with them. "So, what happened while I was gone, my love?" I asked him as we were walking up to the others. "Our mission's not done yet. Waller has been taken by the enemy and without her, none of you have a deal with her. But then again, you can just weasel your way out of it. Out of Belle Reve." I nodded at Rick's statement about me just being able to leave whenever I want. "I can. But as long as my father is still alive, I'm staying in the shadows." I then looked up at him and smiled. "With you." I said with loving eyes. He smiled back down at me and quickly pecked my lips once more. Then we focused on the task at hand.

---

We quickly made it to the helo that was supposed to take Waller to a safe place, but instead it was laying on the ground, destroyed. Rick walked up to it and opened the door and looked inside. "So let me guess. We're going to the swirling ring of trash in the sky. You know, 'cause why wouldn't we? When does this end, Flag?" Floyd asked Rick, making me sigh. Everyone was tired, I get why Floyd was asking. "Load up. We're in for a fight." Rick said and walked over to me.  I grabbed his hand and looked up at him. He looked tired, making me look at him with worry in my eyes. "Are you all right, my love?" I asked him and he nodded before taking a deep breath. "I'm fine. Don't worry about me." I scoffed at his words. "I'll always worry about you, Rick." He nodded and leaned his forehead against mine. "I'm tired, Lydia." I let go of his hand and wrapped my arms around his torso instead, pulling him into a hug. He was quick to react and wrapped his arms around me. "Let's get this over with and then we'll go home. All right?" I said and he nodded. I looked up at him and placed my lips on his, kissing him passionately.

He hummed against my lips, making me smile. When I pulled away he grinned while keeping his eyes closed. "Just what I needed." He said, making me laugh. He opened his eyes and looked down at me. He kissed the top of my head and turned to the team. "All right, let's go!" Rick yelled out and then we started walking towards the circle of trash in the sky. But not even five minutes later, something was thrown against the car the Rick and I was just about to pass by. Rick and I quickly turned to see Floyd glaring at Rick. "You tell everybody everything. Or me and you are gonna go right now." I scrunched my eyebrows together in confusion and crossed my arms. Rick looked around at the team and then at me, before speaking. "Three days ago, a non-human entity appeared in the subway station. So Waller sent me and a woman with incredible abilities. A witch. See, nobody could get near this thing, but the witch could. Needless to say, the whole thing was a bad idea." He then went on and explained how this witch escaped from Waller. "And that's how she escaped from Waller. So now you know." I took a deep breath and licked my lips.

"You can just kill me right now, but I'm going to have a drink." Floyd said as he pointed to the bar that we were standing outside of. "Hey, Deadshot, I need your help." Rick said after Floyd started walking towards the entrance of the bar. "No, sir. You need a miracle." Floyd said before entering the bar. Harley went after Floyd and then all the other villains followed after, even Katana. I was alone, standing outside with Rick. "Are you mad at me?" Rick said with a sad tone that made my heart break. I stood in front of him and grabbed his hands. I shook my head before speaking. "No. No, of course not. But I can tell she is something to you. Who is she?" I asked, wanting to know what she is to him. "She's my best friend, Lydia. I can't let her die." I let out a breath, relived that she wasn't anything more than a friend. I nodded at his words and quickly kissed his hands, offering all the comfort I can in that moment. "Then you better tell that to them as well. I'll be inside." I said to him, making him nod. I kissed his cheek and went inside to meet the others.
