Chapter XIV

She's Alive 

The bullet hit the bomb just in time and it blew up the weapon. Rick grabbed me quickly and pulled me down and under him, shielding me with himself, even though he knows I heal quickly. The weapon Enchantress had created disappeared and the rain had stopped, luckily. I hate rain. Rick loosened the grip around me and looked up and towards the witch. Rick helped me stand up and looked at me. I knew he was silently asking me if I was all right, so I gave him a nod, confirming that I was in fact, all right. Rick walked over to Floyd and put a hand on his shoulder before pulling him into a hug. This made me chuckle. "That was a great shot, man." Floyd looked so uncomfortable at the moment. "I don't do hugs. I'm not a hugger." Floyd said, making me smirk. They pulled away after Floyd said that. "I'm not a hugger. All right?" I huffed in amusement and saw movement in my side view. I turned my head and saw Enchantress begging at Katana's feet. "Let me join my brother." Katana was about to kill her, but Rick stopped her. 

"Katana, no!" He then walked over to Digger, who was holding the witch's heart. "Give me that." Digger handed him the heart. Rick then faced the Enchantress and held the heart up. "Bring June back. You bring my friend back." He said to the witch. "She's not coming back." The witch spoke. She knew it was over for her. "I'll crush this. Do you hear me? Bring my June back or I'll crush this!" He yelled out. He was desperate to have his best friend back. "Go ahead. You don't have the balls." She said with a smirk. Rick took a deep breath before he crushed the heart, killing the witch, and dropping it to the ground. He stood up and turned around, not even looking at Enchantress. He came over to me and wrapped his arms around me, seeking comfort. I immediately wrapped my arms around him, letting him hide his face in my neck. I was looking over his shoulder and at the dead Enchantress when I saw her move. "Baby, look." I said, making him pull away from the hug and turn around. She moved her hands to her face and pulled off a mud layer, taking in a deep breath. 

Under it all, June was there. Rick ran over to her and hugged her with a laugh, while helping her stand up. They pulled back from the hug and she let out a relieved breath. "She's gone." June said with a small smile. "I thought I killed you." Rick said, also relieved. "I thought I killed you." June said back to him. "If y'all don't mind, I got me a sewer to crawl back into." KC suddenly said, breaking the silence. "Yeah, and I got some business to handle back in Gotham." Floyd continued, making me smile and cross my arms. "I'm gonna Hotwire a car. Need a ride?" Harley asked her new friend Floyd. He just chuckled as they started walking. "Your ass is not driving." "Why not?" Suddenly I heard a beep, that made me turn and see Amanda Waller appear from out of nowhere. My eyes widened to seeing her alive. I walked over to Rick and he instinctively wrapped his arm around my waist. "How are you not dead?" Floyd asked her as she was holding the detonator that could activate the bombs in their necks. "We just saved the world. A thank you would be nice." Harley said to her, noticing she was threatening them with killing them. 

Rick leaned down and whispered to me. "She'll kill you if you come with me after this." He whispered, making me smirk. "Let her try." I said while glaring at her. "Thank you." Amanda said to Harley. "You're welcome." She said back. "So we did all of this and we don't get shit?" Floyd asked her. He was right. They should at least get something. I was at least leaving with Rick. "Ten years off your prison sentences." Amanda answered back to him. I scoffed. That was barely anything at all. Most of these guys had life times. Digger laughed while KC growled. "Nah, that's not enough. I'm seeing my daughter." Floyd said, making me smile. He's a good father, even though he does what he does for a living. "That can be arranged. Any other requests?" Amanda asked, knowing we deserved something for service. "An espresso machine." Harley spoke first. "B.E.T." KC then said after her, making me chuckle. "Ten years off a triple life sentence? I'm walking out of here a free man or we gonna start having some real fun." Digger said to Amanda as he walked up to her. 

Even though Amanda is a lot shorter than him, she held her head up high and held a straight face. "Why don't we have some fun?" She asked him back, making him shut up. And back up. Then I spoke up. "I don't know about you, but I'm leaving here with Rick." I clarified to her, making her look at me with a stern look. "You're our strongest asset. It would be a shame for you to lose your head." I smirked and walked up to her. "Go ahead. Try it. See what happens." She pressed the button to activate my bomb, but nothing happened. I smirked and tilted my head. "Why isn't it working?" She asked shocked. "Early in the mission, when nobody was paying attention to me, I used my magic to take out the nanite. So it probably just exploded in some street somewhere." She looked at me shock and I head people behind me chuckle lowly. "So, I'm leaving with Rick. And you can't stop me." I said and walked back to my mate. "Fine. See you around then, Mikaelson." Amanda said, and I gave her a single nod, telling her that she probably will be seeing me in the future. 

A/N: Short chapter, I knowwww... But the story is soon coming to an end... It's so sad that I have to end this soon, but I will be writing a sequel to this with the second Suicide Squad movie. So keep an eye out for when that will come out. I don't know when, but some time after this story is done. And, OH MY GOD!! Thank you everyone for 500 reads!! I am so grateful!!
