The Squid Has Arrived!

(Exter POV)

I was still headed towards life's cottage when I heard something just in my hearing range. It sounded like someone was running away from something and they were heading right my way and seemed to have no intention of stopping. Turning my skull to my left where I can hear someone running my way, I stay still while waiting in curiosity to see who was running and boy did I not expect to see the creator and protector of au's himself.

Surprised by seeing ink, I didn't think of moving out of the way and was instantly tackled down by ink who didn't notice me until it was too late. Falling to the ground with ink now on top of me, I couldn't help but feel deja vu since it reminded me of when I tackled down reaper for my phone. While I was thinking about how similar this reminded me of earlier today, I didn't notice ink staring at me with an excited and curious look until he decided to speak. "Hi! My name's
Ink what's yours?" Ink said happily while staring down at me with a smile. "...Exter." I said while having the urge to push ink off me.

"Ooh, cool name Exter!" Ink said while showing no sign of getting off me anytime soon. "Mhm." Is all I said while wondering when I would be able to get up. "So... Exter, I was wondering do you happen to know anyone who's a geno sans, has wings, and red tear marks? Someone told me that it must be reaper's mysterious lover that everyone's been talking about lately!" Ink asked while staring down at me with an excited look in his eye lights. "...why me?" Is all I said while moving my hands to cover my face, a sigh coming out of my mouth. "So I'm taking it you don't know?" Ink asked while watching as I took my hands away from my face to stare at him with a look that said 'are you an idiot?'

"Why are you looking at me like I'm an idiot?" Ink asked while crossing his arms over each other all the while he continued to stare down at me with narrowed eye sockets. "Pfft-" I couldn't help but let out a giggle at how ink was spot on and yet still continued to stare at me with a straight face. "Well aren't you spot on at guessing correctly?" I said while staring up at ink with amusement in my eye sockets, a relaxed grin now on my face. "Wha- hey! I'm not an idiot!" Ink exclaimed while glaring down at me. "Whatever helps you sleep at night." I said while shrugging as much as I can while laying down on the ground. "I'm not an idiot." Ink said once again except it sounded more like he was trying to convince himself.

"Sure buddy." I said before trying to get up only to flop back down when I noticed that ink was heavy as heck. 'He probably only feels this heavy for me because he has that huge paint brush on his back.' I thought before noticing ink was staring at me with a look of realization that then changed into a look of excitement, confusing me on what was going on in his head before he spoke. "You're reaper's mysterious lover aren't you?! You look like a geno sans and you have red tear marks! Though, I don't see any wings on you." Ink said while scanning me up and down. "For the love of- *sigh* me and reaper aren't lovers for stars sake! We are just friends, we have only known each other for a month now!" I said before trying to wiggle from under ink, failing miserably in my attempt to escape from under him.

"Also for stars sake... Get Off Me!" I yelled before mustering up as much strength as I can and then throwing ink off me, ink flying and crashing into a tree and me letting out a breath of relief before standing up and dusting myself off, all the while I glared at ink while now holding one of my slippers in my hand. Ink, who was getting up from where he crashed into the tree behind him decided to speak not yet noticing what I was holding. "Hey! You could've just asked me to get off, no need to throw me y'know?!" Ink complained while getting up, freezing when he noticed me holding one of my slippers in one of my hands and glaring at him with a look that promised pain. "I uh- y'know what? I'll just visit later." Ink said before swiping his brush towards the grass he was on, a portal quickly opening and then ink jumped into it, instantly disappearing to who knows where.

Once ink left, I put my slipper back on while staring at life who happened to appear. Most likely rushing over here to see what was happening since she probably heard me yell at ink. Spotting me, life's face looked relieved before glancing around and freezing when she spotted the splotch of ink on the grass. Instantly, life's face darkened before disappearing the next second and started to hurry over to me with a worried look before letting out a sigh of relief when she saw no injuries on me. "Ink came here didn't he?" Life asked before sighing when she saw me nod in confirmation. "Of course he did. Whenever something catches his interest he always has to go and see what it is." Life said though mostly to herself.

"Anyways- he didn't harm you or anything did he?" Life asked while checking me over one more time. "I'm fine life, just a little annoyed that ink wouldn't get off me." I said while turning around and continuing on to life's cottage. "He wouldn't get off you?" Life asked with a confused look before her face darkened and a murderous aura appeared around her. "Life?" I asked, startled from the sudden mood shift in life. "Where did that bastard touch you?!" Life yelled while her green eyes started to redden in anger. "Touch? Wait- life! It's not what you think!" I said while realization kicked in. "Life, he didn't touch me like that I swear!" I said while waving my hands in front of me like I was trying to pacify an angry mom, which i was. "But you just said-" life started before getting cut off by me. "Life, he didn't touch me like that! He just wouldn't get off from on top of me because he was uh- talking to me kinda!" I said, though i have to say the talking felt more like interrogating since ink was mostly asking the questions.

"Just Talking? Don't tell me... Were you and ink actually mating?! And outside for that matter! Not to mention you never told me you and ink were mates! And here I was shipping you and reaper!" Life exclaimed while staring at me with a look of betrayal in her eyes. "I- what?" I said while processing what life just said, once I processed what life said my skull blew up into a bright red color and I was trying to say something only to trip over my words. "L-life! I-it's not like that!" I yelled in embarrassment and horror while burying my skull into my scarf, horror filling my mind at what life just said, I mean even trying to imagine me and ink together, it just didn't sit right with me and instantly made me want to gag. Not to mention mating together? Hell no! Also she was still shipping me and reaper together? I thought I told her to stop doing that a week ago!

While I was burying my skull into my scarf, life picked me up startling me for a second before relaxing when I saw she was just continuing on to the cottage. "So Exter, How about you explain what happened while I was gone hm? We can talk over tea." Life said with a smile, though it didn't seem as comforting as before. "Sure..." I said before deciding to go quiet in life's hold. Meanwhile life continued on towards the cottage, a slightly peaceful mood taking over as life was now calmer.

(Meanwhile with ink-)

(Ink's POV)

"That Exter guy was scary!" I said to myself before heading into my room, plopping onto my bed to rest for the day. Sadly whenever I tried to sleep, an image of getting head shotted by a slipper thrown by that Exter guy haunted me and kept me awake. "I hope nothing bad happens when I go to visit next time, also I hope that Exter guy is calmer next time so we can talk. After all, I don't want to be thrown into another tree or get whooped by a slipper." Ink said to himself, not knowing dream just happened to pass by his room and was wondering who in the world ink was talking about.
