Chapter 11: Change of Plans

Y/N pov:

"Everybody, get ready!"

Silver lifts the door with what I assume is a form of telekinesis, I'll have to ask later. We are immediately barraged by a lot of small badniks, and a large cylinder looking robot, with a lot of guns. Sonic runs ahead to take care of the big one, Whisper clearing his way with a rocket shot. He bounces off the badniks toward the big one, Silver, Whisper and I mopping up the stragglers. The door closes behind us with a loud bang.

Whisper grapples up to some pipes to provide covering fire while me and Silver move up. As we're fighting, we all here sonic yell, "Silver! We need to finish off the little ones so we can focus on the big guy!" Silver motions Sonic towards him. "Right! Come at me!" Sonic jumps toward Silver, then he's promptly thrown around by the telekinesis, destroying all the robots in the vicinity. Some rubble hits the big robot, causing it to fire its gun, hitting the pipe Whisper was standing on. She falls and is trapped under the rubble unable to reach her wispon, her wisps get into defensive positions around her. I see it happen, and run to help her.

"Whisper!" I blow away a couple of badniks making their way to her, and they fly straight into some incoming missiles. I look around for any more badniks. As I do, Silver floats up and starts lifting the rubble off of her. "It's ok if you prefer to work alone... But it looks to me like you've put together quite the team." I look back at them. "And I'd be proud to be a part of it." He offers his hand to help her up. She takes it. "...Maybe." I feel a bit of jealousy at that. Sonic runs up to check on us.

Just as he does, a nearby computer gives off a sound, and we see a giant Eggman symbol, and Whisper runs to smash the computer. Sonic runs up and stops her. "Woah, woah woah! You can tear this place apart when we're done! First, we need vital Intel off the computer!" She turns to look at him, she looks almost... scared? "Okay..." She walks to me, and hugs me tightly. I return the hug, and pat her head. "It's ok, he's not here." Sonic looks back at us. "What did Eggman do to you?" Silver is trying to find information from the computer, I'm trying to comfort Whisper out of her panic attack.

Suddenly, Silver starts freaking out. "Oh, crap!" Sonic seems almost just as panicked. "We need to call knuckles!" As Silver tries to call them, sonic looks back at us, and explains what's happening. "Neo Metal Sonic is trying to take the Master Emerald for a power boost, we can't let that happen!" We both look at him, confused. "Master Emerald?" He looks a bit frustrated. "For simplicity sake, it's a big green gem that holds a lot of power, if he gets his hands on it, he can turn into a huge dragon robot that can predict your every move before you can even think about it!" Our eyes widen at that. "Yea, that could be a ummm, a problem..."

"Listen, we're going to need a lot of people to help take care of this, and you two are both very able fighters, can we count on your help?" He holds out his hand. I smile and shake his hand. Whisper hesitates, but also shakes his hand, smiling. Silver gets Knuckles and Amy on the computer, and sonic rushes back over. "Amy! Knux! Are you there? Silver found what Neo's up to! You're gonna need to call in everyone!" Afterwards we leave and head back to Resistance HQ to prepare.

I wonder what I've gotten myself into...

A/N: I've decided that I'm going to just skip the battle for angel island, and pick up the story afterwards. Unless yall just really want me to write it, I'm probably not going to, cuz it'll just be boring and tedious for me.
