Chapter 27: Long Gone

Whisper pov:

Y/N and Green have been gone for a week now. I went out looking for them, but I couldn't find anything. The others have been worried too. The Chaotix helped me look, Tangle and Jewel put up posters. Sonic had come back in that time, he said he was in another dimension. He helped to look too, but even he couldn't find anything.

At this point I've started having frequent anxiety attacks. I need to find them. I need to... I have to...

Right now I'm in my room laying on my bed. I've started having the nightmares again since he left, I haven't slept well in that time... Cyan and Blue are beside me, while pink and orange are sleeping. "We'll find them, it'll be ok." "It's not ok until we find them..." I would go out and look again, but I've looked in all the places I think he would go 5 times already.

Suddenly I hear a knock on the door, so I stand up and open the door, it's Amy. "Hi..." "Hi Whisper, don't get your hopes up, but we may have found them." I feel hope for the first time in a while as she says it. "Where! Tell me!" "Come on, we'll show you." We both walk to the control room, I'm feeling genuinely excited.

Once we get there I see Tails talking to Knuckles through the computer screen, he's walking somewhere. "...went into the forest and I didn't see him after that." Tails looks at me."We found Y/N's GPS tracking signal, but it was damaged or malfunctioning, so it only gave a last known location, which was Angel Island." I'm confused as he said that. "Did he say why he came to Angel Island?" I ask Knuckles. "He said he was here because he needed a break from someone, and he thought my island was beautiful, so I allowed him to stay."

He's walking into the woods now, and I feel horrible as he says those things, I hope he's ok... Knuckles looks shocked as he sees something, then starts running quickly. "Whats wrong!?" He stops and sets the camera down, showing a destroyed hover wispon, communicator, and some of his gear.

"N-no..." he can't have... right? Knuckles looks around for a bit, then picks up the camera again. "There's a blood trail." He follows it for a while, then just sighs. "It ends at the edge of the island." We all suddenly hear crying.  Knuckles turns and sees a hover wisp. "Green?" I look on. He then walks towards it. "Hey little guy..." Green turns, and looks at him sadly. He then sees me on the screen, and floats towards him quickly. "You need to take me to Whisper! Now!" Green says.

I gasp at his suddenness. "Knuckles, bring him to HQ!" "Alright, I'll be there soon." Tails and Amy look at me, questioning looks on their faces. "That's my wisp! He went with Y/N when he left!" They smile a bit, and we wait fir Knuckles.

Eventually Knuckles shows up, Green in hand. He flies out of Knuckles' hand and hugs me. "I missed you so much!" "I missed you too..." He suddenly looks like he realized something. "Y/N was kidnapped!" I feel my heart sink, no, he can't have been... who? "Who did it!?" "It was Mimic! Mimic took him!"

No...

No...

No...

I sit there for a while, not sure what to do. "Do you... know where he took him?" He looks sad. "N-no... he hit Mimic with the wispon, it broke and I went flying. I got knocked out for a while." Why would he have taken Y/N? To get to me? It had to be that, there's nothing else it could be... I need to get him back, fast. Another question swirls in my mind.

How is he planning on using Y/N against me?
