Chapter 17: Reunion

Whisper pov:

"Any unwelcome visitors?" Tangle asks as the shuttle drops down. "Clear." I respond, still looking for any hostiles. "C'mon people, our ride is here! Hustle, hustle hustle!" Amy comes out of the shuttle, looking a bit sad. "Where are the rest of them?" She looks up hesitantly. "We're the only ones left."

"What?"

"Restoration HQ has fallen."

My heart sinks, the only thought in my mind: is Y/N ok? I need to see him, he can't have gotten infected! "Is Y/N ok!?" Before I even hear her answer, I charge into the shuttle, shuffling through the crowd. "Y/N! Y/N are you there!?" I eventually make it through the crowd and find him, he's staring right at me. "Hi, Whisper." I look at him for a moment before hugging him. I hit him a bit too hard, and it knocks him down, bringing me with him.

"I missed you!" He hugs me back. "I missed you too..." We both stand back up, and he sees my tail wagging. He smiles widely, "I thought you weren't talking to me anymore~" I blush and look up at him. "What do you mean?" "You've been so distant lately, and yet here you are, being so vulnerable again."

I look down as I think about how little I've spoken to him recently. "When Amy said that Restoration HQ had been overrun, I got scared you got infected..." He smiles more than he already is somehow. "Infected? Me? Never!" I look up at him again, giggling quietly.

After a bit of catching up, we're in the air, and I'm not too sure where we're going. I'm sticking close to Y/N, I can't take any more chances, I'll stick by him until the end if I have to.

Suddenly, we hear a loud beeping from the cockpit, and the pilots booming voice. "Distress call from Spiral Hill Village!" I notice Y/N tense up as he hears the name, as if he's scared we might be going there. "You ok?" He looks at me, and seems to calm down. "Yea, yea I'm fine." The pilot plays the distress call, and we all hear Tangle's friend, Jewel, over the other end. "A horde of zombots are on the outskirts of the village, we need help, we need a shuttle to evacuate, please!"

"Jewel!?" It's the first time I've heard Tangle scared, even now, with the Metal Virus. "We need to go, now, we need to help them!" Amy looks at her with a skeptical look. "We don't have that much space, but we can try! Pilot, plot a course for Spiral Hill Village!" Tangle looks a bit relieved, and I look back at Y/N, who looks like he's thinking really hard about something. "Y/N? Are you alright?" He looks at me, and looks a bit worried. "Yes, I'm fine."

I don't believe him.

"No you're not, I know you aren't, please tell me!" He looks like he's thinking, then looks back at me. "I had a dream... it was in Spiral Hill Village, I dreamed that you got infected, and I just, let myself get turned with you, because... I can't keep going if you're gone..." Amy overhears our conversation, "it could be a premonition." We both look at her. "A premo-what now?" Y/N says. "A premonition, it's a dream, well, more like a vision you have in your sleep, that it shows you what will happen in the future." He turns pale, then collects himself, chuckling a bit. "I forget you're into that stuff. So... your saying that she's..." "Well, it's not like you can tell if it's a premonition or not, it could just be that your spooked by the circumstances, which isn't that much of a stretch. Just in case though, in all recorded instances, telling your premonition to someone stops it from happening, so tell us."

He sighs, and explains the dream again, this time in more detail, though I still feel like he's not telling everything. "Ok, like I said, it could be a premonition, or just a regular nightmare, but I'm glad I could help." She looks at the map in the cockpit again. "Sonic is on his way to Spiral Hill Village now, we'll meet him there!" Immediately after she says that, we hear the pilots voice again.

"We're coming up on Spiral Hill Village now!"
