Chapter 36: Epilogue.

Whisper pov:

Me and Y/N have been camping out once again the past 3 weeks. It's been great! We've been doing mostly mercenary work, and since Y/N now has a cannon arm and knows how to use it, he's been a great help! Right now, he's out getting more firewood. I hope he comes back soon, I'm freezing... I'm sitting at out campfire, trying not to freeze to death. The wisps are chatting with me. They're trying to get me to prank Y/N.

"Cmon, he'll see it's a joke and he'll laugh along!" Cyan says, and I look at him in response. "No! I'm not just going to hide from him, you know he has abandonment issues." "They aren't even that bad! He has a moment of sadness every once in a while, but he always comes back quick!" I look at bit angry now.

"No! I'm not gonna test the boundaries of my boyfriends emotional instability!"

Just as I say that, I hear footsteps outside of the campfires light, so I aim my wispon at where the sound is coming from, as the figure comes into the light, I see it's Y/N, he's holding some firewood. "What's all that about my emotional instability?" I blush and take off my mask. "N-nothing, just... having an argument with the wisps." He chuckles a bit, then looks at the wisps.

"Don't test her, she has a habit of kicking people who don't agree with her!"

I blush and look away as he says that. "You're never gonna let me live it down, are you?" He smiles widely. "Nope! Not on your life!" We laugh, and he puts some larger logs in the fire, making it bigger. "Thank goodness, I thought I was about to freeze to death." He looks at me. "You cold?" I nod, and he gets up and comes over to me, he hugs me tightly.

He's so warm...

"Better?" I nod, nuzzling into him. "So comfy..." He chuckles quietly. "I'm flattered~" We talk and cuddle by the fire for a while. The wisps eventually go inside the tent, and Y/N tries to follow them, but I stop him by holding his arm down. "Noooooo!" He smiles to me. "We have to go to sleep Wolfy..." "I wanna stay warm!" He picks me up, and takes me to the tent, I'm struggling the entire time.

We eventually get settled on our pallet of blankets and pillows, still cuddling. I feel warm once again, then I hear Y/N speak. "Thank you for sticking by me to the end..." I look back at him. "Of course, why wouldn't I?" "Well, I figured what with the whole trying to kill you thing, you... might not like me anymore..." I turn around to look at him. "No, that wasn't you, that was what Eggman did to you..."

He smiles and kisses me. "Thank you." "Of course! Now go to sleep, it's unhealthy to not get enough sleep." He nods, and cuddles me again. We soon fall asleep, cuddling all night.

A/N: So, here we are, the end of an era. Not quite, but this is big for me, so let me have this. I was gonna just let this end, and start on a Tangle fanfic, but then I decided that I could just ask people if they want some scenario chapters added to the book.
