I leaned backwards onto the chair, sipping the wine I've gotten from the drinks station. Hindi ako mag-iinom ng malakas na alak, makakalimutin ako kapag nasobrahan ng inom. Baka mamaya ninakawan ako ni Tori ng halik tas di ko maalala, sayang yun.

Libre naman mangarap kaya iisipin ko na pwede yon mangyari.

Malay rin natin na may mabuhos sila na connected sa narinig ko noong nasa hospital si Kapre at Kleo. I'm invested in learning what goes deeper in Tori's life. Surely, she wouldn't tell me in the near future based on her actions. So, I'll just have to investigate it myself.

Nakita ko nagbubuhat si Laine ng mga instrument papunta malapit sa platform ng mga projectors at speakers ginamit kanina sa party. Speaking of that, pinagkaisahan nila si Leo.

Nireveal ba naman lahat ng sexy pictures tas kung ano pang kagaguhan for her 28th birthday. Sabi ni Rowan gift daw nila yun sakanya, at para sa jowa niya.

Gift pa ba yon? If anything, maiinis ako kapag ganon. Galit na galit nga si Xy na ipinakita kasi gusto niya siya lang nakakakita non, the sexy pics specifically. Pero si Leo parang alam niya na that her friends would do the said 'surprise'. In other words, she knows and doesn't care.

"What's that for?" I asked Laine who is fixing the position of the drum set.

She pushed it a little to the right. "Hindi ba sinuggest ko mag karaoke?"

I nodded. "Yeah."

"Well, with a twist tayo ngayon." Matapos maayos ang drum set pati ang iba pang instrumento, kumuha ito ng isa pang microphone. "Maglalaro ng instruments sila Tori tas Reag habang magkakaraoke ang iba."

She can play?

"What instrument does Tori play?" Tanong ko sakanya.

She glanced at me and chuckled. "Kinda expected you're going to ask that, guitar." Laine proceeded to fix the wirings in order for all of it to work.

I put my wine glass down, crossing my arms. "Question, asan nga pala sila Tori?"

"Ah, may pinag-uusapan lang sila Vic. Babalik rin naman mamaya. Wag ka mag-alala, di yon tatakas." Sabi ni Laine habang di ako binabalingan ng tingin.

Kaming dalawa lang kasi nasa pwestuhan. Yung mga kaibigan ko nagselfie ata while sila Tori biglang nawala. Kaya, ang ginawa ko muna ay kumuha na lamang ng maiinom.

Maya't maya dumating na silang lahat muli at bumalik na sa respective upuan nila. Val's eyes went to the instruments Laine had set up earlier. "Bakit nakalabas mga yan?"

A glint of playfulness had appeared on Laine's eyes. Likewise with the duration it had shown was how quickly it disappeared, returning back to its neutral look. In-explain niya ang gagawin sa magiging karaoke namin, producing an outcome for some of her friends to groan. Meanwhile with the others, they had complained.

Obvious naman ata kung alin dyan sa dalawa si Kapre.

Inassign na nila kung sino mga unang magplaplay ng mga instrumento pati na rin sa second batch. Sila Kleone mangunguna muna. Kai as the drummerist, Ellaine would play the rhythm guitar, Leo sa bass guitar, and leading guitar si Kleo. On the other hand for the second batch, Iris ang drummer nila, Rey sa lead guitar, bass si Val, and Rhythm si Rowan.

"I'll play-"

"Shut up grandma. You're weak as hell, sit your ass down." Rey interrupted Tori.

Kapre's eyebrows furrowed. "I'm not going to carry a dumbbell, Reagan. Guitars don't weigh much."
