As it was planned, Marich took the form of a uniquely resplendent, multi-hued deer with sapphire-blue tipped horns, spotted red face, blue ears, bluish stomach and rainbow coloured tail, hooves and limbs that appeared to be studded with pearls and gemstones, and began sauntering near Shri Parnakuti.

Devi Sita's eyes fell on him and she was captivated seeing such a beautiful deer. She had never seen something like it. She pointed towards the deer and requested Shri Ram to bring it.

"Nath, yadi aap iss Mrigh ko jeevit le aaye toh mai ise palungi aur Ayodhya le jayungi. Yadi nahi, toh iski chamakti khaal se hum humare baithne ke liye aasan bana sakte hai." Devi Sita requested.

"Bhabhi, aisa Mrigh hona avishvasniya hai. Mujhe toh yeh kisi ki chaal lagti hai. Bhuliye mat ki yeh van unn Rakshaso ke bhara huya hai jo man-chaha roop dharan kar sakte hai. Waisa hi ek Rakshas Marich hai. Hume uske chhalave mei nahi fasna chahiye." Lakshman cautioned.

"Kintu keval ek Mrigh hi toh hai, yeh kya haani pahuchayega ? Mujhe yeh chahiye." Devi Sita pleaded.

Shri Ram looked at her loving and how the dear has made her face lit up with joy. He has to get it for her now.

"Mai tumhare liye yeh Mrigh awashya layunga." Shri Ram said. And then he addressed Lakshman. "Satya hai ki humne aisa pashu van mei kabhi nahi dekha, yadi yeh vastavik mei Mrigh hai toh mujhe Sitey ke liye lana hoga. Kintu yadi yeh tumhare sandeh anusaar Marich nikla, toh uska vadh toh mujhe waise bhi karna hai. Usne kitne nirdosho ke praan liye hai."

Saying so Shri Ram tied the quiver on his back and firmly held his bow. Lakshman found no reason to object now.

"Lakshman, Sita ko akele mat chhodna. Uski raksha karna aur Rakshaso se satark rehna. Woh kisi bhi disha se aa sakte hai." Shri Ram told and proceeded to run after the gem-studded deer.

The deer was more agile than the expectation, it kept escaping the clutches of Shri Ram, and took him very far away from his Parnkuti. Finally Shri Ram was able to shoot him.

And when he went near it, he was shocked to see not the gem-studded deer but Marich, who had given up his disguise and taking his last breaths.

"SITA ! LAKSHMAN ! MERI SAHAYATA KARO !" Marich imitated Shri Ram's voice.

The son of Kaushalya was spooked, he understood the trickery clearly. He wasted no time and ran back to his Parnakuti as soon as he could.

But in the Parnakuti Devi Sita got extremely anxious hearing the seemingly scream of Shri Ram.

"Lakshman, nath sankat mei hai. Unki Raksha hetu jaao." She urged.

"Chinta mukt rahe Bhabhi, bhaiya ko kuch nahi ho sakta." Lakshman said. This angered her.

"Kya tumne unki cheekh suni nahi Lakshman ? Tumhare bhaiya sankat mei hai. Tum unke bhai ho ya shatru ? Oh. Ya aisa toh nahi ki tum meri laalsa rakhte ho ?" Devi Sita said angrily.

That accusation felt like a barb in the heart but Lakshman retained his composure, knowing she was anxious and not in her right mind while uttering these words.

"Bhabhi, bhayebhit na hoyiye aur vishwas rakhe ki bhaiya ko kuch nahi hoga. Yadi Naag, Gandharv, Asur, dev aur prithvi ke sabhi Raja apne sena sahit, milkar bhi Ram bhaiya par aakraman kare tab bhi unhe nahi hara sakte. Shurpnakha ke kaan-naak kaatne aur Khar Dushan ke vadh ke baad bahut se Rakshas humare shatru ho gaye hai. Yeh unme se hi kisi chaal hai. Ram bhaiya ne aapki raksha ka uttardaitwa mujhe diya hai, mai aapko akele chhod ke nahi jaa sakta." Lakshman said.

Devi Sita was now furious and turned red in anger. To her this seemed Lakshman's negligence.

"Tum ek krur purush ho Lakshman ! Ab mai jaanti hu tum humare saath van mei kyu aaye ! Tumne socha Nath aur mai akele honge toh tum mere swami ko maarg se hata mujhe praapt kar loge. Sun lo Lakshman, mai kisi aur purush hi nahi ho sakti. Yadi mere swami ko kuch huya toh mai bhi apne praan tyaag dungi ! Tum mujhe kabhi praapt nahi kar sakte Lakshman !" Devi Sita snapped.

Such allegations coming from the one he revered as a mother, was too much to bear. Lakshman lost his patience. The words fell on his ears as if someone poured molten iron in them.

"Prakriti meri baat ki saakshi rahe ! Maine keval wahi kaha hai jo mujhe satya laga. Kintu aapne aise shabd mujhse kahe hai jo mere yogya nahi. Nishchit aap apna mansik-santulan kho apne vinaash ko aamantrit kar rahi hai. Keval stree hone ke karan aap mujh par charitraheen hone ka laalchan laga rahi hai !" Lakshman said.

He tied the quiver on his back and picked up his bow.

"Maine sadev Ram bhaiya ke har aadesh ka palan kiya hai, aur ab mai unhi ke paas jaa raha hu. Van ke devta aapki Raksha kare." Lakshman said and left the Parnakuti leaving Devi Sita alone.

Yeah these words that Mata Sita said to Lakshman ji do seem cruel and wrong. But you have to understand that she had to make him leave, because it's all Leela of Lakshmi Narayan.

And one more thing is that in Valmiki Ramayan there is no mention of Lakshman Rekha. The text simply said that Lakshman ji left the ashram, praying to forest gods to protect her.

It actually makes sense though.... Cause by the time Lakshman ji would've drawn a line along the entire Parnakuti..... Ram ji would've returned back 😂
