"Technoblade?" I reiterated the name, it was an odd name I'll say that but Phil's full name was Philza. So, honestly, it was an interesting name. "What was he like?"
"Hm," Philza thought for a bit, rubbing his chin for a second before finally being able to answer. "Technoblade was our best and most loyal knight. Theseus loved talking to him, training with him, hanging out with him. Kristin always made sure he was comfortable, as well as me. He was our best friend, and we were his. I just wish you could have been able to meet him."
"Isn't there a picture or painting of him?" I asked, looking around the Valictor. Hoping to at least find who Technoblade was in the hidden room. "Something to help me know what he looked like at least?"
"I believe so actually," Philza muttered out loud enough for me to hear, walking around the Valictor to find something. Trying not to knock any of the other things that were neatly laying around in a display-like pattern. As he got to one of the walls he came to a halt, staring at a painting with him and his family on it: Theseus, Kristin, Philza and a pink-haired man too. "That's Technoblade; the man with long, pink, plated hair."
"He's handsome," I blurted out, not even caring to cover my mouth in shock. What? He is. He's a good looking fellow in the painting. Phil stared at me as he registered what I had suddenly said, eyeing me as I walked over to his side. "What? Good looking fellow, I would be surprised if he was single."
"He was single," He answered, shifting some of his blonde hair away from his eyes. My eyes widened in shock, trying to understand how that was even possible. He sounded to be an amazing person, knight and friend; he looked handsome; was loyal and was a great fighter, so how the fuck was he single? "He never wanted to date, never wanted to settle down, never wanted to get married. He was a loyal, brave knight that wanted to keep that status. Not wanting to have all of that thrown away for someone that would die so easily - his words were that, not a one is mine."
I listened in interest, staring at the painting that showed the whole family, laughing a bit at the end of Phil's story. I never met Technoblade but I could see him saying that. My thoughts were snapped to reality when I heard the sound of caws, I turned around to the Valictor's closed doorway trying to figure out why the sound was now just starting. "What's that sound?"
"They have sensed we are residing in here at the time being," Philza casually answered, worrying me more. My eyes stared at him in horror, practically saying 'who?' without a single word. "Our crows; Kristin and I always had a knack for the critters. We can communicate with them, they can communicate with us. Theseus never got to learn unfortunately. Would you like to meet the murder?"
"I would love to!" My eyes sparkled with joy, wanting to sketch out the crows as much as possible. Phil walked over to the closed doorway, using the Hallow Heart to open it back up. Only slightly. Big enough for the murder of crows to enter the Valictor; small enough for no-one else to notice if they walked on by with a quick glance. The birds flew around the Valictor, elegantly, and smoothly, not striking any of the valuable items that were displayed. Resting their small talons on tables, the armour stand and other things as well. I carefully walked over to the crow that was balancing on Technoblade's ancient armour, shyly smiling with a small wave to the chirping bird. "Hi there."
"Beautiful birds aren't they?" Philza walked over to me, more confidence in himself with the crows then I had. He was able to talk to them after all, so I wasn't that surprised. Nodding my head, I opened up the notepad to grab my pen and begin sketching the crow on the armour stand. He smiled as he watched me draw one of his crows, his hands behind his back as his patterned coat swished a bit from the halt. "I adore these crows greatly, though their numbers have been reduced due to the modern humans here hunting them down. For sport, fun, or even just fear. I hate it. These murders loved me too; so much that I was given a nickname by my family and kingdom, 'The King of Crows.'"
"I can see why," I chuckled out, finishing up the sketch to show both the crow and Phil. Happy chirps echoed throughout the Valictor, while Phil smiled with joy at the small, quick sketch I had created for the smallest of the crows. "What do you think, little birdie?"
The crow flapped their wings, a happy trill making them look to be smiling. Philza asked me if I wanted to see more parts of the castle that were probably not open to the public; "due to the human's laziness," he mumbled to himself. I agreed very quickly, hoping that the murder of crows would follow us around. It appeared that Phil could sense that, as well as the whole murder, since they all flew over to me after Philza cawed to them.
"Seems like the crows like you," He informed me, his steel blue eyes glancing over the murder. All seven crows flapped their wings as they happily chirped. One of them lightly tapping my notepad with their beak. "It also appears that the crow would like you to sketch them next."
"How adorable," I jokingly said, giggling as we walked out of the Valictor with the crows latching onto our shoulders and heads. Most of the seven crows being latched onto me, but do I care? No! I find it adorable. Slightly annoying; probably going to get a few scratches from their small talons. But it's adorable! So now we're gonna be walking around the castle with a murder of crows attached to us.
