Well, it's been a while with Phil and the murder living in my house. I got used to them fairly quickly, still not used to those damn crows looking like they'll do a summoning ritual at some point but what can I do?
Phil would help clean up wherever possible, he'd mainly clean up after the crows whenever they made a mess around the house, which was still very kind of him because there's no way in hell I'd be able to survive with them making messes nearly every damn day-
I walked over to the man in question, noticing him sitting hunched over on the floor in the corner of the room, leaning forward until I could see what he was holding more properly. "What... the hell is that?"
Philza looked up to lock his eyes with my own, a smile growing on his lips. "This, my love, is one of my many ornaments for our lovely tree!"
The ornament in question was handmade, created with the help of some of the murder's feathers that were shedded off. Though they looked to be thoroughly cleaned up due to Phil's intense care of the ornaments.
My eyes glanced over to our Christmas tree, something he had helped bring back to my home with the massive help from the crows working together to carry it together, eyeing at all the different handmade ornaments and decorations Philza had created with the help of his crows.
"It's very.... crow themed."
"Indeed!" He seemed to be incredibly proud of that fact, though it wasn't very in theme with Christmas. Eh, whatever floated his boat. "Every Christmas, within the walls of my old kingdom, we had it all in a dedicated theme towards Kristin and I's crows. They were such a vital helpful support within our once thriving kingdom... They still are! Just... not as strongly as in the past."
The only sound that could come out in response was a small 'ah'. It was an incredibly sweet gesture, don't get me wrong, but it's hard to find a response. Especially when it was so obviously clear it had upset Phil in some way, what with being reminded of his late wife and all.
His late wife that got reincarnated into me, but my point still stands-!!
"Ah, yes!" I jumped a little, hearing him speak up again after a small bit of silence between us two. His hands still delicately holding the ornament as he looked up at me from where he sat. Small talons digging into my shoulder as a crow decided to perch itself on me to snuggle up against my neck. "Do you perhaps have a tendency to theme your Christmas day Y/N? Maybe there is a possibility that we could intertwine the two themes together!"
Pausing for a moment, having to register everything he said and what it meant, I finally snapped back to reality and let my eyes look back at him once more. "Um... Well, no. I just do the basics, with both decoration and themes, nothing special. I've just been so busy with my job as a blogger, trying to get money and all, I guess I just never had the time or energy to even bother and try."
His steel blue eyes stared into my soul, staying frozen like a statue as he soaked up my answer. I could almost see the cogs turning, working together to create a thought process that'd help him register it all.
"Well, perhaps it is a worthy time for you to create your own dedicated tradition for yourself," He finally spoke, his voice suddenly soft and warm. Like a fireplace... if it didn't burn me in the process- "One that correlates to your interests and personality. Trust me with this my love, these days would look far more enjoyable if it was catered to something you loved so dearly within your heart."
By the time he had finished talking, Philza had stood up in front of me. Now using one of his hands to gently caress my cheek, a touch both comforting and sweet on my skin. With his eyes lovingly locked with mine, I couldn't help but look away and down at the floor.
