Cathy had found a pub in which she had decided to spend the night. She was about to check out a few of the potions Mr. Seymour had given her the night before but a knock at the door distracted her.
"Can I help you?" Cathy cracked the door open and peeked out.
"I know what you are." A cloaked figure stood in the hallway, their head lowered and hood drawn.
"What do you mean?" Cathy could feel herself start to panic, how could they know? There was no possible way.
"You, Catherine Parr, are quite something."
Cathy tried to close the door but the person put their foot on the stopper, not allowing it to close, "How do you know my name?"Cathy was afraid to let go of the sliver door handle, not wanting the figure to come into her room.
"That's not important. But you need to leave."
"Why?"
"The W.H.K. know you're here."Cathy didnt need to hear anymore and immediately ran around her room, grabbing her bag and discarded clothes. By the time she had gotten all her stuff together and opened the door, the person was gone. Cathy didnt take long to wonder where they had gone, she was more focused on getting out of there.
W.H.K. stood for Witch Hunting Klan, if they knew what Cathy was –even if they didnt fully understand what it meant– then she was in grave danger. All she could hope for was to get far, far away. It was still early in the morning so there shouldn't be too many people outside, this would make her get away easier.
She didnt bother to slow down as she entered the pub's main area, where tables were scattered around. She practically ran toward the door, but when an all too familiar woman stepped into her path, oblivious to the fact that Cathy was there, they ended up colliding.
"Woah!" Cathy tried to pick herself up without seeming to panic."Cathy?"
Cathy looked up at the sound of her name, and into a pair of bright green eyes. "Anne?"
She took a step back and the two women stared at each other for a moment, Cathy had not expected to run into Anne here."Why are you here?" Anne stumbled over her words, obviously flustered.
"This is where I stayed the night, why are you here?"
"Kitty works here." Anne gestured at a young waitress with brown hair that was dyed hot pink at the tips.
"Kitty?" Cathy was confused, Kitty was a strange name, maybe it was a nickname.
"Oh, sorry, uh, shes my cousin."
"Oh..." Cathy trailed off, and they stood their in awkward silence, Cathy looked over to the two knights which where sitting at a nearby table. They had stopped what they were doing and Cathy could tell they where listening in. "I have to go." Cathy forced a fake smile and praticly ran out the door. Now, reader, you might be wondering if the W.H.K really was there, and to awnser that, they where. But not for Cathy, they where simply outside. Not any threat, but —as I said before— the cloaked person wanted to move the plot along.
