In the end, Osial, Lord of the Vortex had been defeated and once again was sealed deep in the bottom of the ocean. The people of Liyue soon began to progress as they had without their God. Eventually, the Rite of Parting had begun.

Paimon groaned as she impatiently floated around a patient Aether. "Flamebrains! Are you done yet?"

"Yep! Just let me- Oh wait it's on backwards... Never mind!"

"UGGGHHH!"

So yeah, Akemi was currently changing for the Rite of Parting. Why? Because unlike Aether who for some reason has waterproof clothes, Akemi's are only fireproof and take longer to dry. Even two of her artifacts that she wore were completely soaked, so Akemi was tempted to throw a tantrum when she couldn't wear her hat or cloak.

But it's fine for now because she really liked them and would rather die than have them thrown away or something.

After placing her oddly shaped vision around her waist, she kicked open the bathroom door victoriously. "Alright, I'm finally done!"

Paimon wasn't impressed. "Finally, you took so long!"

The pyro user could only roll her eyes as she pushed back her hair. "Well- Yeah but I look great so it's fine."

"That doesn't matter! We-"

As usual, Aether tried to intervene. "We have to get going, right?"

"Mhm! We do!" Akemi wasted no time, grabbing her gloves to put them on, and running off and out of the Inn they were in.

"Hey! I'm still not done scolding you!" Shouted Paimon as she speeds to catch up to catch up with her, leaving poor Aether in the dust.

_-_-_-_-_

"Is something wrong? You look like you have a lot on your mind."

Akemi looked at the two, almost offended. "Me? A lot on my mind? Oh please as if!"

Aether was still waiting for the actual response. "But...?"

She glances to the side to avoid eye contact. "...But there is one thing I want to say."

Dejected, Akemi faced a nearby wall and started poking it, unable to look at both Paimon or Aether. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you everything."

Paimon placed her hands behind her back as she moved closer to Akemi. "Uh, that's nice and all. But what are you apologizing for?" She asked.

Even though she couldn't see it; Akemi could tell that Aether was agreeing. "As far as we're concerned, you were bound by a contract to not say anything, right?"

"Well yeah," The girl confirmed. "But if I went with you to get the perfume, or told you that I realized Morax wasn't dead at the Rite of Parting, or-"

Realizing what has been said, Paimon's eye grew wide as she began shouting. "YOU KNEW FOR THAT LONG???"

"...Yeah..."

The little fairy proceeded to start stomping on the air. "I TAKE BACK MY LAST COMMENT! YOU SHOULD APOLIGISE!" She started to bonk Akemi on the head harshly, but it's not like Akemi felt anything.

"...I know.." Spoke Akemi.

"Paimon, I think she learnt her lesson now.."

Akemi nods. "I have..."

When walking through Liyue to the Rite of Parting, many conversations reached the ears of the trio that walked by them all.
