"So? I'm good right? No problems here!" Said Akemi, trying not to look strained as she looked up at Baizhu.
Baizhu stared at the girl with a mixed expression of feeling impressed, and feeling disappointment after watching Akemi recklessly do multiple types of flips in all directions.
He should've seen this coming when he asked Akemi to prove she would be fine to head off for another nation, yet he just didn't see that coming. Though, she has proven that she'd be fine, so the man supposed that works.
Nevertheless, he got his act together and came to a conclusion. "I suppose you'll be fine, but you still require about 3 more days of healing." He replied.
Baizhu's snake, Changsheng, was more on the meaner side today, and chose to speak up. "Knowing you, you'll probably injure yourself before you even get the chance to fully heal." She says in a snarky tone.
Akemi laughs confidently as she stares at the snake triumphantly. "This accident was just a one-time thing! It'll never happen again!"
Changsheng narrowed its eyes at the girl as she walked away to put on her cloak. "Hmph! You said that the last time you visited here!" She hissed as Akemi fixed up any piece of her clothing that seemed out of place. Thankfully, her original clothes were fixed and had practically no problems, so she didn't have to worry.
Baizhu chimes in on Changshengs frustration and shared his own opinions. "Not to mention you were quite stubborn- if it wasn't for that travel partner of yours a few months back, it would've taken a while." He spoke while smirking at the girl.
"Agreed."
Rolling her eyes at their comments, the girl aggressively shoves her hat on her head. "Ok I get it! I'm bothersome." She pouts as she grumbled under her breath.
The doctor shakes his head in disagreement. "Not exactly the point I was trying to make, but if you say so." He lets out a loud hum as he went into thought. "Though I do wonder, what happened to that friend of yours? I never thought you'd replace him."
Akemi placed a hand on her chest comically, finding some offense in his words. "Implying I replaced him with Aether is mean!" She says.
She had thought of this before, and after journeying with Aether for the past few months, she knew that she didn't see him as a replacement for her last travelling partner, she was sure of it.
Besides, they don't share any similarities. Akemi frowns as she tries to come up with an excuse for the 5th travelling partner which she no longer was with. "He just... went off somewhere I can't say!"
"Can't say or don't know?" Said the snake rudely.
"Shut up you stupid medicinal ingredient!"
"Why you-"
"That's enough for now, how about we get onto a more important topic?" Baizhu said as he walks over to his desk and writes something down. "Akemi dear, how exactly do you intend to get to Inazuma?"
The pyro user stared blankly at the Doctor. "By boat? Beidou is taking us there!"
If Changsheng had arms, the first thing she'd do with them is either facepalm at the girl's stupidity, or slap Akemi for being forgetful.
Either way, it had similar effects. "What a simpleton..."
He pulls out a small container with something in it, and began to label it. "Aren't you forgetting something?"
Baizhu walks over to one of his many boxes of medications, and began filling the small container with something. Akemi watched as she thought about what he said.
