Friends and pronouns

Ok this is kinda a vent ig but not really. So basically a few of my friends have recently changed their names and pronouns (not like fully changed them but they asked me to use those name and pronouns) and of course i was like "ok ill try im really sorry if i get it wrong." So ima just use names bc who actually cares right now. So the first friend was probs the hardest to get right because i have known her for like...3 and a bit years sooo yeah. And he went from Hope she/her to Kai she/they/he (gender fluid i think...can't remember i have a memory of a goldfish) and im really bad at using she/they/he idk why but it confuses me because i say she by instinct then feel SOO SO BAD and correct myself then realise i could have corrected myself wrong then im stressed so I usually just point at them and say "that person" because i feel bad for getting it wrong (also this is the person commenting on this vent book like all the time)😭😭. The next one was a little easier to adjust to because I haven't know her as long. They went from Lily she/her to Lily she/they to Riley she/they because they wanted a more gender neutral name. But WHY DO I ACTUALLY FEEL LIKE A HORRIBLE PERSON WHEN I GET THEIR NAMES OR PRONOUNS WRONG LIKE IM SO SO SO SORRY GUYS 😭😭😭!! Because i have seen so many other people feeling really dysphoric (did i spell that right??) when people mess up and i dont want my friends to feel like that :(. But im trying to adjust to it and what made me happy was coming out of class today Riley told me that she was really happy everyone was trying to use their new name. Soo yeah byeee (AND RESPECT PEOPLES PRONOUNS) <33
