Chapter 10: Crystal Vs. Misty

What felt like a week on the road, but it's only been three days. Yellow and Crystal are complaining about how long it's just to walk back home, but only Manny and Mizu are slightly ahead of them on the path, but they halt to look at their siblings. "You guys alright?." says Mizu, concerned for her sisters. They both fall to their knees, with Crystal showing a thick mark on her forehead and a sarcastic smile. "Oh no, we just LOVE walking for TWO DAYS STRAIGHT." she finishes her sentence with a yell, making Manny and Mizu sweat drop. "Alright, we'll camp here, sis," says Manny, already putting up their tents. All three sisters had sweatdrops and deadpan faces, seeing that their brother was already setting up camp while Crystal was yelling at him and Mizu. "You've been doing our tents while I was ranting at you two?." says Crystal, who is still confused about how fast their brother is for setting things up. Manny could only respond by laughing sheepishly and rubbing his head. "Well...I found it easy just to do things while listening," he says, chuckling as he sees the fire in Crystal's eyes. Then she starts chasing him. "I'll teach you some manners, big bro," she growls, scaring even her sisters. Then Yellow and Mizu looked at each other. "Um...Let's stay on her good side. She has too much of Mama Misty in her, heh." says Yellow, to which Mizu nods in agreement as the two set up the rest of their camping gear. After an hour of setting up their campsite, Crystal finally knocked down her brother, and then she dragged him by his leg to the other two. "Did you two have fun?." says Mizu, chuckling at the state of her sister and brother. Then Crystal lets go of her brother's leg and sits on a log to eat dinner with the family while leaving some food for their outcold brother. While Manny has finally woken up from his sister's attack, he sits down and joins them. "So...Who's going up for the second badge?." he asks calmly, waiting for one of his sisters to answer his question, but then Yellow speaks up. "Oh, we all agree that Crystal should face the next gym leader," she says with a smile. Then Manny thinks about his next question. "Do any of you know who the gym leaders are'' he asks while eating the food that Mizu made this time.

All three sisters looked at each other and then at their brother with food in their mouths as the three shook their heads at him, saying, 'No' "Well... You all are in for a surprise, but I am not saying anything." he said with a slight hidden smirk on his face making sure his sisters didn't see it as the group finished their food and their Pokemon has finished too, everyone spars each other to train themselves and their Pokemon for the upcoming battles and the three sisters are hoping to face each other in the finals. The next day, after a long and well-rested night, everyone got up and dressed while checking on their Pokemon after their hard training yesterday with everyone. Up to total health, they packed up their camping site, returned their Pokemon to their balls, and took half a day to reach their destination. Mizu and Yellow were puzzled as to why the city they were heading to looked familiar, but then they bumped into Crystal, who looked like she'd seen a ghost. At the same time, Mizu waves her hand in front of her face. Crystal moves her hand to point at the city's sign. Mizu and Yellow look up to have the same pale and shocked face as Crystal, and then the sisters look back at their brother, who is smiling at them. "Um...Surprise." He says, looking primarily worried at Crystal, who looks like she wants to hit him again. Yellow is holding Crystal's back while Mizu looks at their brother with her arms crossed and looks annoyed. "Okay, big bro, who are we facing this time?." she says, waiting for Manny to answer her, but what he says makes the sisters pale. "It's Mama Misty. She's still this city's gym leader," he says while walking past his sister to head for their home to rest up with the three sisters following him back to their house where Dawn and May welcome them back while Ash is out training or helping the Pokemon Rangers and Team Galactic.

Everyone runs towards the house after seeing May and Dawn waiting on them, but Crystal is a little upset that her mother isn't home. "So...Where's mother?." she asks one of her other mothers. "Oh, don't worry, Crystal. Misty will be back soon, okay." She showed a reassuring smile on her face as they all went into the house, but Crystal let out a squeal at the sight of her mother. Crystal dashed past everyone and hugged Misty. "Hehe, sorry to make you upset, dear. I just thought you deserve a surprise," she says as she and Crystal get off the floor, but the girls are confused by what Misty said. "What do you mean, Mama Misty?." asked Yellow as Misty pulled out a small gym badge. "What I mean is that one of you three will face me tomorrow for this badge," she says with an evil smirk, making the three shiver down their spines. "You're our next challenge, Mother?." says Crystal, looking worried as she and her sisters know how strong Misty is with water types, "Do not train or bring out your Pokemon girls. I want to be a surprise of what you caught," says Misty showing her motherly glare to be sure their daughters obey her which they nod in agreement rapidly then Crystal spoke up. "I'll be your first opponent, Mother," she says, smiling at her mother, and Misty smiles back. "Let's make it interesting that we both don't use our Gyarados," she says, and Crystal hugs her mother, knowing that her Red Gyarados isn't fully trained yet. The family catches up on recent events for the rest of the day. Even May and Dawn were wondering about Crystal capturing the Red Gyarados. The two mothers are very surprised about her capturing it, and all three mothers are pleased and proud of Mizu going up against Brock. They even like the idea that they take turns each at the gym and how to earn a badge while the day is setting and everyone is about to turn in for tonight, but then Ash returns home, opening up the front door and surprising everyone with a smile on his face then he gets tackled by his daughters hugging and laughing that they all are happy to see each other again.
