The next day, Mizu is ready and sets to battle the Champion, but she is also nervous cause she already battled her father once and lost, which was just their sparring match. Mizu arrived at the stadium with Macechu and Pikachu. "You guys ready to make history," she said with a big smile. Then her Pokemon smiled at her and nodded their heads. They headed to the arena, where they were met by their father, who stood at the other end of the arena. A warm smile appeared on his lips. "Are you ready, Mizu?" Ash said, then he had two Pokeballs ready, "You bet, Dad, but why do you have two Pokeballs ready?." she said, looking puzzled and a little confused.

"Oh! And speaking of choosing how many Pokemon we use," he said, then he threw both balls and outcomes Blastoise and Dragonite, "I choose that we do a two vs. two Pokemon battle," Ash said, then smiled again, waiting to see what Pokemon his daughter will bring out for one last battle. "Alright, Dad," Mizu said, then she threw her Pokeballs, bringing out her Pikachu and Scyther, "Let's get this battle started," Mizu said as she showed a lot of excitement, and her eyes sparkled with determination. The referee started the match, and the audience started yelling and cheering.

"Blastoise blast Pikachu with Hydro Pump, Dragonite use Aerial Ace on Scyther," Ash said as his Pokemon used their attacks. Still, both of Mizu's Pokemon dodged them as the two attacks went past Mizu, making an explosion behind her, "Alright, Pikachu, use Thunderball, Scyther, use Double Cut," Mizu said as her Pokemon attacked Blastoise and Dragonite, but only Pikachu's Thunderball hits Dragonite. At the same time, Blastoise managed to dodge Scyther's attack. "Scyther, use Razor Leaf on Dragonite," Mizu yelled as Scyther used its attack. It got attacked by Blastoise. "Quick, use Shell Smash," Ash said as Blastoise spun toward Scyther, hitting and sending it towards a wall, knocking Scyther out for the count, "Scyther!" Mizu sounded concerned and rushed over to her Pokemon, "I think you overdid it, Blastoise," Ash said. Then Blastoise had a sweat drop and stretched its cheek.

"Scyther return," Mizu said as she returned her Pokemon to its ball and then returned to her side of the arena. "A bit uncalled for, Dad!" she said, crossing her arms and pouting at her father. "Sorry, sorry..." he said, rubbing the back of his neck. "Pikachu, use Double Thunder," Mizu said, then Pikachu zapped two thunderbolts from its cheeks, hitting Blastoise, but Dragonite dodged in time and made it into the sky. "Dragonite, use your Solar Beam," Ash said, and then Dragonite fired its beam at Pikachu. Still, Pikachu started running around the arena and making Dragonite chase it with its ongoing beam. Still, Pikachu had a smirk, which made Dragonite hit Blastoise by mistake. "Good thinking, Pikachu," Mizu said, cheerful and happy that Pikachu had thought of that strategy.

"Pikachu, use your Quick Attack followed by Iron Tail," Mizu said as Pikachu charged toward Blastoise. Blastoise was about to punch Pikachu, but it dodged Blastoise's punch. Pikachu then hit Blastoise on the head with its Iron Tail attack "Nice combination, Mizu," Ash said, being very proud of his daughter. "Thank Dad, Pikachu, run around the field," Mizu said, confusing Ash about her strategy. "Blastoise use Body Slam, Dragonite use Focus Punch," he said as both Pokemon tried to attack Pikachu. Still, Pikachu made them both bash into each other, "Quick, Pikachu, use Thunder Dash," Mizu said as Pikachu charged at them. Thunder covered up its body and hit it.

Pikachu cleared out of the smoke but met face-to-face with Blastoise and Dragonite, who were ready to strike. Dragonite tumbled to the ground and knocked out, "Dragonite return." Ash said, returning his Pokemon. "You did great. Rest well." he said as he put his Pokeball away, "Blastoise, use Solar Beam on Pikachu." Ash said as Blastoise fired its beam at Pikachu. Pikachu didn't have time to dodge and took a hit, but it managed to stand up. Its cheeks started to spark up suddenly. A black cloud covered the sky with yellow lightning shooting out, making the audience look worried, but Mizu smirked, making Ash look a little concerned and anxious. "What are you planning, Mizu," he asked, and Blastoise stood ready.

"We need to time this right..." Mizu said in her thoughts, "Pikachu use Thunderbolt." Mizu said, then Pikachu fired a normal Thunderbolt, hitting Blastoise to annoy it. Blastoise tackled Pikachu, but Pikachu dodged the attack and zapped another Thunderbolt, hitting and hurting Blastoise's shell. "Blastoise, let's end this battle," Ash said. Then Blastoise started charging at Pikachu and tried to hit Pikachu with Shell Spin but missed Pikachu just by an inch, "It's not time yet, Pikachu, just a bit longer," Mizu said as she watched and hoped Pikachu could last a little longer. Still, Pikachu nodded and kept firing Thunderbolts to hurt and annoy Blastoise.

Blastoise got more annoyed. "Blastoise, let's end this with Hyper Solar," Ash said. Then Blastoise's two cannons returned inside its shell, replaced with an enormous cannon. Then Blastoise opened its mouth and fired both beams aiming at Pikachu. Still, Pikachu dodged out of the way in time, but its tail got hit, and Pikachu ached in pain. "Pikachu, hang in there. It's time." Mizu said as Pikachu slowly got up, and its yellow sparks zapped from its cheeks. Mizu smirked, as did Pikachu. The black cloud above everyone started firing more yellow lightning, but they looked more significant and dangerous. "Pikachu..." Mizu said as her father and Blastoise looked at her, wondering what move Pikachu would use, "Use THUNDEROUS THUNDERBOLT!" her voice echoed throughout the arena, making her father do a quick action. "Blastoise, quickly use Solar Beam once more." Blastoise was about to use its attack.

Before Blastoise's attack would happen, the black cloud zapped Pikachu, and then he fired a monstrous thunderbolt, hitting Blastoise, and it was so effective that Blastoise fell to the ground. Then it tried to get up. Pikachu stood firm, but Blastoise finally passed out, making Mizu and Pikachu the winner and their new champion of the Indigo League. Pikachu ran towards Mizu, and she embraced her Pokemon. "We did it, Pikachu," she said with a cheerful smile. Then Ash came up to her. "Congratulations, Mizu, you've made myself and your family proud," he said. Crystal and Yellow rushed up to their sister, tackled her to the ground, and embraced each other. "That was the best battle ever, Mizu," Yellow said. Then Macechu floated towards Mizu and cuddled into her.

The sisters got up and looked at their father, who passed on the Indigo League cup to his daughter. "So, what's your next move, Mizu?." May said as she couldn't be happier with her daughter. Mizu had thought about it and then smiled. "I'm gonna continue my journey just like my father," she said, making everyone around her happy with her choice. Three days later, Mizu and her family and friends returned to Cerulean City, where Mizu had packed up her stuff and was taking Macechu and her Pikachu on her next trip. Zola and Amy were going with her once more and had been permitted by their mother, Nurse Joy, to go as she felt they would return home soon. Yellow had chosen to go with her sister again, too, as she thought she wasn't cut out for Leagues and would only support her until Yellow thought about what she wanted.

Crystal is sticking with her choice and becoming Cerulean City's new gym leader under Misty's guidance and teachings. She would become the next Pokemon Water Master. Their family waved them goodbye. Mizu, Yellow, Zola, and Amy waved back as they went on their next journey into the Orange League Islands, and Mizu and Yellow would follow in their father and mother's footsteps. Mizu now supports a yellow shirt with a black lightning blot, new black fingerless gloves, a new pair of dark blue jeans, and white trainers. At the same time, Yellow now wears a white t-shirt, a jean jacket, black silk shorts, ankle socks, and red and white trainers. They made their way to the path to the Orange League Islands, and Mizu looked at her companions. "Ready to make this journey worth it, guys," Mizu said with excitement and sternness in her eyes. Yellow, Zola, and Amy nodded in agreement as they all stuck together and went on their way to the Orange League Islands, where they would make new friends along the way and hope to capture and meet new Pokemon on their journey as they make their way a mysterious figure watches the group within the shadows and starts following them out of curiosity.
