"Oh, God. I hate this." Mumbled Molly as she watched the square television screen in front of her with slit eyes.
Her current boyfriend, Monty Lipton, had his arm around Molly's shoulders as she leaned into his side, and he laughed at her slightly.
"C'mon, it's just a scary movie, its not real." Monty said to Molly quietly.
"No, but the same thing could happen!" Molly told him. "A psychopath could break out of a mental asylum and go on a murder spree, right here in Woodsboro!"
Monty laughed again. "There's no mental asylums near Woodsboro, Molls."
Molly sighed. "I'm just saying- OH GOD!"
She let out a squeal as the presumed dead Michael Myers on the tv got to his feet in the background of Laurie's shot in the doorway.
"He wasn't dead?! Dammit, Laurie, I knew a coat hanger wasn't gonna kill him!" Molly said in frusteration. Beside her, Monty continued to laugh silently.
Molly watched the screen intensely and cursed to herself as Michael Myers crept up behind Laurie, and followed her out of the hallway with his knife raised.
"C'mon, Jamie Lee Curtis! Turn around! You're smarter than this- OH! OH, GOD! He's strangling her. Okay. WAIT, IT'S THE DOCTOR, OH THANK GOD!"
"Molly-" Monty cut himself off with his own laughter.
Molly let out another shocked gasp as Laurie pulled Michael's mask off, revealing his face, before she fell to the floor.
"What the hell, he's not even hot!" Molly said in exasperation.
She watched - slightly grumpier - as Michael put his mask back on, and then jumped in surprise when there was a loud bang Dr. Loomis shot the killer with his gun. The force sent him falling back into the other room. With Laurie on the floor crying helplessly, Dr. Loomis ran into the room, and was met with Michael standing near the doorway, shrouded in shadows menacingly. So the doctor shot at him again, and again, until the killer and jolted back so much that he made it to the open balcony door, and fell out of it, landing with a crunch in the yard below.
Molly gave a deep, dramatic sigh of relief as the shot of Michael laying motionless in the yard was shown.
"Jesus," she said quietly.
"Was that the boogeyman?" Asked Laurie to Dr. Loomis in the screen.
"As a matter of fact...it was." Loomis told her.
Then the doctor walked to the balcony and looked over it, only cary an expression of shock and dread, and the shot moved to one of the yard Michael had last been seen laying, only show that he was no longer there.
"NO! GOD! FUCK, NO!" Molly shouted, jumping up from Monty's side. "What the hell! That's- no! Just no! You can't do that!"
Monty was barely able to keep himself from laughing as he watched Molly stomp at the floor in frusteration. "Molly, it's a horror movie, they can do whatever they want." He told her.
"But it doesn't make any logical sense!" The girl whined as she ignored the trippy theme song coming from the credits. "The guy was stabbed and was shot several times, and then he fell out of a balcony for two stories and landed in the yard! He should've died!"
Monty just smirked as he listened to his girlfriend's rant. Then he stood up and walked towards her, an he leaned in close so that he could speak and only have it be the two of them that hear.
"The killer never dies, baby." Monty whispered into Molly's ear, so quietly and so somber that it made her almost shiver.
Then, as soon has his demeanor had changed, it returned to how it was before, and Monty backed away, smiling as he pulled Molly back to the sofa. "Now c'mon, let's watch Halloween II."
