"We're gonna take you back to the station." Mark Kincaid said to Sidney. "Keep you under watch, put you in a safe house - whatever it takes."
The two of them, along with Dewey, Molly and Stu, were huddled around Kincaid's car as the police scoured the place and interrogated those at the scene.
As Kincaid went to walk around his car to the driver's side, he said to Molly, "I think it's best if you come with us to the station too Ms. Birist. You'll be safe there."
Molly's eyes shot up to Kincaid, then down to Sidney who was reluctantly getting into the passenger's seat as Dewey held the door open for her.
"I'm not going."
Kincaid and Dewey both turned to Molly, expressions of shock on their faces.
"Molly-"
She cut Dewey off. "Last time I got into a car with Sidney and the police, the officers died, and two of us would have if not for Billy and Stu." Molly looked up at Kincaid. "I'm not going." She repeated.
"I promise you, Molly," started Kincaid. "no harm will come to you or Sidney while you're with me. You can trust me."
Molly just stared at him stubbornly. "I don't do trust." She reminded him.
Kincaid's face fell at her words. Then he nodded once. "Alright. If that's what you want. I'll respect your decision." Molly just shifted her eyes down. Kincaid turned to Dewey and Stu. "You two keep her safe. Don't let her out of your sights." Dewey nodded, Stu just stared.
Then the three of them watched Kincaid drive off with Sidney.
"Molly!"
She turned at the sound of her name, seeing Billy running towards her with Gale, Jennifer and Jane trailing behind him more slowly.
"Bill-"
"Thank God you're alright," Billy cut Molly off as he reached her and hugged her tightly.
Molly sighed and patted her friend's back. "I'm okay, Bill." They pulled away.
"I should've been there-"
"Hey, it's fine, Billy." Molly interrupted. "You couldn't have known that was gonna happen."
Billy sighed as he backed down. His eyes shifted to Stu and Dewey standing behind Molly.
"Everything okay with you guys?" Stu asked Billy, glancing back at Gale and the two actresses approaching.
Billy just nodded, not focused on the other boy. "Where's Sidney?"
"Kincaid took her back to the station." Dewey explained. "Whoever the killer is, he wants Sid the most. She'll be the most safe there."
Billy's face showed obvious disapproval. "I don't trust that detective. Something about him is off, Dewey."
Dewey gave him a look, but before he could respond, Gale, Jane and Jennifer finally reached them.
"Dewey!" Gale had a piece of paper in her hand as she walked up them. "Take a look at this." She held the paper out, revealing it was another photograph of young Maureen Prescott. Dewey took it and looked on with furrowed eyebrows - Molly and Stu looked over from either side of him. "Someone we know?"
"Where'd you get this?" Dewey asked, confused.
"We got it. Archives." Answered Jennifer.
"Sidney's mother was an actress." Gale confirmed. "Three movies."
Billy nodded. "Horror movies."
"Wanna know who produced all three?"
Dewey and the other two gave Gale an inquiring look. "Who?" They asked in synchronicity.
